Denmark got no other choices.. we can not live without trading with other countries.. Denmark is a small country.. we do not produce anything at a large scale huge enough to provide for our existence.. The thing that Denmark can offer in the future is knowledge. We want to be able to produce knowledge.. and to be able to do that we need an educated population..

A 21 year old in the USA making 30k would be considered lucky, but the fact that he gets healthcare and all the other perks makes it that much sweeter.  No one here would (or rather, should) complain if they swapped for a 2x larger paycheck but were taxed 40% yet still made out like bandits after April 15th.
 
I now view He Thing as an iced-out carnie, pulling roller coaster cranks, getting babes, and living large.  So when's the music video coming out?

actually, im not considered wealthy here in Denmark.. 
But I might be considered as a well-funded student, as I have I my own apartment without renting it ;)   [no, my parents didn't buy it to me.. I did..]

Add that to our new $200,000 home and we have nearly $400,000 in debt in the next year and make about $45,000 combined. Add the 8% interest to the student loans and 4% interest to our home, and we will have paid well well over 500,000 in interest by the end of our loans, just to be educated and have a small 1300 square foot home. That's the American dream lol. Mortgaged to the hilt.

I didn't bother with the loan, just took the grants. I've made a profit on the first 3 years of uni. Not something many students in the UK can do, let me tell you that much! :)

odd laws?  what do you mean by odd? 
 
Gun laws.. well.. you do not have the right to have your own gun. For that you need permission. 
Speed limits.. They exist, but not all follows them. If you get caught speeding.. well, you just pay the fine and continue driving like [insert improper word here] unless you get "cut" means that you have been driving at a speed greater than 30% over the allowed speed. After 3 "cuts" you will have to take a new driving test. 
The government actually supports new small businesses. They are supported through lower taxes and other initiatives. 
You are welcome in Denmark as a tourist.. but for permanent living.. that's another story..

The costs of an apartment.. :    (I think you will call it a condo)
Well, that is no easy question. I paid 665k DKK for mine (108500$ USD) I think that is about average. You can find them much much more expensive in Aarhus (high to very high prices) or Copenhagen (very high to "you can't buy them" prices). I live in Aalborg (average to high prices) (because they have the best university).

I can definitely help you meet some of those fine danish babes.. They are all over the place on thursdays, fridays and saturdays.. (nights ofcouse).. I live 750 meters from the place where it all takes place.. "Gaden" we call it.. means "the street" :D
But there is one thing you need to know about danish girls.. they can drink alcohol.. measured in liters!

im afraid it doesn't work that way.. Yes, you will have to get her some alcohol.. but you will also need some for yourself.. "being a slow drinker impresses nobody" not that drinking too fast does, but everything is better than being a slow drinker.. 
Anyways.. From my experience outside Denmark I can tell that danish girls are easy to talk with.. just say "hi" and eventually bring her a beer or something, and the conversation or dancing has started - it's that easy ;) 
I can't say that about girls from US and Canada, atleast not those I've met.
