Love the separate triples stand, but in some of the pictures it sure looks like the heavier monitors cause the side arms to droop quite a bit and I dont see any independent leveling adjustments for them. I bought a similar non leveling stand a while back and it got really frustrating trying to get the side monitors good and aligned. Good luck with it though.

I bought a similar non leveling stand a while back and it got really frustrating trying to get the side monitors good and aligned. Good luck with it though. This is one item I (And two other members BTW) am curious on as well. Actually it was the first thing I noticed as I live in triple screen world in my business and home. This just means I have experienced a reasonable amount of challenges and have to think things through and look for this type of issue. My eyes went straight to the mounting points as soon as I saw the sag and immediately started engineering in my mind a wider dual mount for that arm. It is clear the stand itself looks well built and ready for anything we can mount to it. My thinking/hope is... That is how the person in this scenario wanted it setup as these are articulating arms allowing for multiple angles and preferred seating positions to the monitors. And that we will be able to make them flat and even. This is my second item on my top ten "Questions" I have and other have asked me to look at... My review is not going to be one that is "Wow, look it is black and cool" . Being given such a great opportunity to do a review on an item of this caliber demands multiple points of interests to be covered. Please feel free to offer any more input you may have or questions you would like covered.

Yeah, if they could do the same LCD mounting as the Ergotech Model 100-D16-B03 it would be just about perfect. I really like the cockpit straddling idea they have now on the Obutto. It makes it very universal for anyone with a different type of cockpit setup. I would buy one in a heartbeat and move all my stuff away from my desk to set it up independently of the desk. My tower really warms up being stuffed in the opening I have it now.

Little update... Painted the new "Gaming Room" today. Some Sherwin Williams color called "Sporty Blue". I will be running all the Ethernet stuff (Not looking forward to crawling around in the attic), install baseboards and adding new outlets and such tomorrow once the paint is completely dry. Oh and I "Acquired" *wink wink* our most comfortable couch in the home for this room as well. Should have seen the look on my wife's face... MUahahahahaha... And then she proceeded to look online for a new one , and a guest bed, and a..........

If you are considering Sporty Blue AB, have you checked how much light gets into the room? Or is it going to be a completely dark room most of the time? Either way that is a nice color but you should consider other options

@ Rico Hahahahaha... I do have a six foot x about 30" widow in this room. And it is the coolest in the home. The year round breeze hits this side of the home and is perfect for a gaming room... Wife dislikes the room and it was originally (All this last year) the room for the Labs (Dogs). Now it is mine. MUhahahahahaha @ Owe... Here are a few pics. My goodness was it a bit warm in the Attic Running solid on the new setup right now So a little explanation to the room Outlets... The upper left one is the new CAT 6 (Dual runs, dual plug ins). The lower Outlet is from the previous homeowner. It is a 30amp circuit that I changed to 20amps and is now the dedicated line to my gaming system. The outlet to the right is on the second circuit in the room that also powers the light. The two shelves... Well those are 100lbs brackets I found as a pair (Each pair holds 100lbs) and went with the top one being a 12" shelf on a 10" set of brackets for the Computer to sit... And the lower (second one) is also a 100lbs set in 8" sporting a 10" shelf for the UPS...

Oh I almost forgot . I have the UPS and Computer at the heights I do so the majority of the "Wires/cords" are not visible when gaming or walking by. And why have a sexy looking computer if it is not on display for all to see I like the "Clean" look...

Brad_Hawthorne Looks cool. Is your chair 2DOF actuated? Was it made of 80-20 or was it a kit? Oh yeah, its "actuated" hehehe. Crappy video from a webcam so the screens looked washed out and the sound sucks. Did a new HD one with the playbook, but Sony Vegas 11 doesn't like mpeg4's and haven't converted it yet to timeline it. It is made of 80/20-1515s. Home made by me, with Frexs motion controllers bolted to it. Racing without it in certain games that don't support motion yet is so boring. Runs perfect in iRacing. Cant hardly wait to get pCARS support though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRtdvRGlrYE Your room looks great Afterburner.

Wonder if that means I can DIY like this too for DCS: World? I have experience with the Virtual-GT and a few other D-Box setups in events I've done, but not done any motion actuation on my personal stuff. I'm in the process of working up an A-10C simpit with spherical projection at the moment. This would be really cool with it, but I'm worried the throw is a bit too long for what I need. Is that something that can be tuned in? I'm looking to do a short throw like D-Box does. I'd guess that is around 2-3" throw max.

The movement is fully customizable through the software from zero movement to completely insane. A good hard wreck will damn near throw you out of it. I built mine about four years ago, I bought all my material off of ebay @ 80/20.inc., planned it, cut it all, and assembled it. I then just bought Frexs simconmotion components (right at 2 grand for the actuators and control boxes hardware) The only draw back to mine is we have to wait for the game to be supported by the company with an API and then us simconmotion owners have to wait for Shige (owner of Frex) to write the drivers for it. There is a much better option now that I wish I could convert over to. Its called simxperience. http://simxperience.com/

Hehehe, yeah, sell that Obutto and get in motion with a simxperience. You'll be so amazed how it transforms games. An sorry for the delayed response. Been out of the states clearing out some "not so friendlies".

Then she got into movies, and has opinions on how the sound systems are now. She is a monster! Now I have more speakers than before because of her and her "wants" in sound...

OK... Last component is inbound for this review. Room is done, system is primed, iRacing paid for and downloaded... All ready now for that email to slide into my inbox announce R3Volution's readiness... Heck even the wife is happy as I told her my last item for this setup is ordered. Her response... "Thank God, it is about time. Maybe now we can talk about tile for the new fireplace mantle"

Quick question for Afterburner: What are some big differences from the Ozone and Revolution that you noticed right away? Or did you not have the original obutto before? *Sorry if it was stated before, I didn't read the whole thread. I would like to get the revolution , but just don't have the money for it now.

Happy to answer... First impressions are posted in the first post of this thread. I do have the original (Well actually second Generation of the Original) and soon will have the R3Volution. It is my opinion at this point, that both are very different animals and will attract different audiences. One is financial. The price is double (Obutto R3Volution over the Obutto Gaming Cockpit), and that will create the need for the less expensive Obutto. Next are the features. These alone are with the extra cost for those who need them. Notice I said need. Sometimes "Want" does not fit the budget, however "Need" can. Quick example... The R3volution has a free floating (Well not floating however it is entirely self sufficient and not attached at all the the seat/steering assembly) Allowing for more stability and angle/mounting options. Most important for me, I also use my Cockpit as a working desk. The new R3volution is specifically designed with this dual type of use in mind (Gaming/Work). Hence the two outer fully articulation shelves.

Thanks for the reply. :D The R3volution does look very nice, indeed. I really like the movable shelves, hopefully I can get one some time in the future. What kind of work do you do? Do you only work for EVGA? Sry, kinda offtopic - you don't have to answer that. Really love EVGA vid cards though, this is probably my 4th or 5th card now with little to no problems.
Obutto Ozone cockpit, AMD Phenom II 3.0Ghz, EVGA 570 GTX Gigabyte MA790-UD4P, 8 GIG Corsair DDR2 800 :(
