Its a pretty awesome group I must say. I have only been a member and went on a few runs but I have had so much fun. I also recorded some pretty awesome moments. and will compile them into a video when I get home tonight. I'll be on around 10pm tonight. im from the west coast so if youre across the states a little later.

    You guys should have been on about 30 minutes ago. Our base has been compromised again (we think someone not from EVGA ratted us out. In response, I've made the group invite only.) We were driving down to go set up a trap using the ATV as bait at the NW airfield; I was driving it while the rest of our team was in the offroad. Out of nowhere, an HE blows up right behind the ATV. The guys in the offroad bail out and take cover behind trees while I sling the ATV around and head towards the enemy. I see two guys hiding by a tree, they open fire on me breaking a bone and causing me to bleed. I whip the ATV around the tree and hear the satisfying crack of their bones. I keep spinning around the tree hitting them both 2 more times. They are still firing at me at this point. I quickly hop off the ATV and put a cylinder worth of revolver ammo into one of them before their concentrated full auto fire kills me. Knowing that they are outgunned, they try to run but our sniper takes a shot finishing off one of them. The other gets killed by another (Runic, I think) in our group.
     
    The moral of this story, ATVs make great killing machines and people not from EVGA can't be trusted. The group is invite only now, so send one of us a PM if you want to be let in.

              Well I just downloaded this and tried it out yesterday, gave me a reason to finally re-install the Arma2 combined ops pack I got in steam sale and never got around to playing.
               
              I haven't even gotten a weapon yet, and most of my spawns have involved me dying very quickly... but for some reason I keep wanting to play this :D
               
              I tried a game out last night after my late poker session and wow, starting in the pitch-black was pretty creppy I must say. I had actually stayed alive my longest yet, due to the low visibility letting me just walk around the town I was exploring though it eventually got me killed as I walked right onto a zombie I had not noticed and who wasn't making noise.
               
              Pretty funny encounter with my first player too this morning, I had just been mauled by a zombie and was waiting for it to finish me off, when shots ring out from the woods and the zombie goes down. I hear a friendly voice say "Hey bud, you hurt?" as he threw a bandage and morphine down. Just as I use them and stand up , he shoots me in the head, laughs maniacally and runs back into the woods.
               
              Lol fun times :D

                yeah, Runic, Myself and one other died trying to move to another location. That damned gilly suited douche and his friends. We did how ever take his truck that had SOOOO MUCH good stuff in it. so, that was a plus. I am somewhere near a market and found a tent. so that will help with the new place. I just need to be picked up

                          check barns. sometimes I prefer the axe when riding solo cuz it's quite. keep trying. dont let it get to you. I too go for hours with out finding a gun.

                              Just found out how to NOT cure a infection (D** zombie who bite me). 

                              The only way to cure a infection is to get antibiotics. BULLET's will not cure it, only stop it until you re-health.

                              On a secondary note. The Second camp is up (Nickname: Tent City) for any interesting in joining it. We will work together and sharing spoils with the other camp.

                                      I was playing the other day and got kicked by BattlEye for some reason.  Also I see the zombie counter is gone now, and over the past two days in the wilderness and at Elektro, I've seen only two zombies.  This is pretty bad...  Day Z is just Deathmatch survival now.  This is one of the reasons why I'm probably the only person here who looks forward to ArmA 3 far more than standalone Day Z.

They still spawn, just Conservative so not stress the server.                                           In fact you can see when there is activity in the world just by watching the zombie counter. You see it tallying zeds...? That means someone is in an area causing zombies to spawn. If that number is dropping then they are killing zombies. Use sniper scopes and binoculars to look over far distances. If you see zombies then that means someone is in that area causing them to spawn. 
                                           
                                          Watch your back survivors.
                                           
                                          Also keep your eyes peeled for heli crashes. The are much more prolific than in past version. Often better loot than Starry and less treacherous!!

                                              I don't know how many of you guys play during the dark without NVGs, but it's intense! Me and three of my friends did a very high profile raid on devil's castle and the town south west of it. Flares, chem lights, anything to give us vision. Zombies are a lot less likely to aggro. But any player in the woods can see what we're doing. It was a lot of fun. We're planning a night raid for Churno.

                                              Night raids are great. I have played without NVGs since I began playing a couple months ago. But two nights ago I found a heli crash just north of starry -- south of Lake Prud. the only thing on the crash was a pair of NVGs. 
                                               
                                              I have used NV scopes on rifles too.

                                                So you have to go looking for trouble with zombies in order to find them?  I miss the zombie survival theme that Day Z used to follow.  Now it's just deathmatch survival, hopefully they change this in ArmA 3 but I doubt it.

                                                  The way zombies spawn is really no different with re: to the survival theme. Zombies always hung out around civilization, towns, cities, buildings, deer stands etc. so they appear more as you approach.

                                                      Anyone having issues with SLI ? my 680s are getting horrible frames 

                                                       
                                                      What settings do you run?  Keep 3D resolution to 100%, not 200%, and don't attempt to run 10000m or 20000m view distance.  ArmA 2 doesn't have very good multi-GPU support though, so if you run a huge resolution then you might have to turn down more settings.

                                                        the only reason dayz is deathmatch is because no one trusts anyone. if you think about it, if there was an actual zombie apocalypse, I would Prolly shoot on site as well. people are just as dangerous.
