I was able to run at 5760x1080, game was HOR+ and the HUD was centered. :D Performance was a little sluggish, but they mentioned nothing's been optimised yet.

I can't get a solid 60fp on a single 580 Classified at 2560 x 1600. That's pretty demanding for a F2P game.

I advise all who have not been invited, to sign up again. The game is worth it. I am thoroughly surprised. It's beta so... There are some enemy AI issues, clipping issues, enemies stuck in rocks, some sound issues--looping etc... But the core gameplay and the unique mechanics, which put a refreshing take on RPGs, are highly enjoyable. The graphic engine is pretty burly as well. Mining resources is handled in a very fun and exploratory way. You are also not locked to a class. And those cool gliders wings are standard issue. You just need to finds a launch pad...or buy a template so you can craft your own once you have the right resources and in-game credits. Engineer turrets are some of the most efficient I have seen in any game.

Im Hit! Hey guys. Add each other up. Lets get "Thumpin" together. Any Engineers been able to have a turret and repair station? Or is it really one or the other? I know they perma-attach to your engineer main weapon, I believe... Abilities go into your backpack slots. Initially you start off with 1 slot. Once you hit level umm (6?) you should get a backpack with 2 slots. At level 10 would be a backpack with 3 slots. That is assuming you don't find a rare backpack (blue or purple) which will have higher power and more slots than the current tier. Sadly, engineer is one of the slowest classes to get going and start feeling useful/unique. They hack terminals faster than other jobs, but you don't do that anywhere except in 2 of the pvp maps. Your deployables are fragile and rather vulnerable, until you get a forcefield in front of them (level 7 reward). The drain gun you get at later levels doesn't really seem to serve much of a purpose anymore and the homing plasma bolts DPS less than decent secondary items. You can get 3 (technically 4) items deployed, but can only carry 20 wrenches for upgrades at a time. Yeah the repair station now restores spent ammo, but that really only matters when thumping in a really busy NPC area. They can make taking an area really annoying and make other aoe weapons/jobs really stand out in pve, but they don't seem as potent alone until higher levels.

But i need to get ARMA 2 on my comp again first.

I don't know how cynical you are overall, but it can start to really sink in once you take a step back and start breaking it up into individual parts. Lots of things can change in a single patch as evidenced by one that occured last month, so I don't think the status quo will keep over time.

Oh, the more I play the more possibilities come to light. The animation is a bit clunky and I hate the looks of the weapons in 1st person for Engineer. Just ugly. But the gameplay is great so far and i have not played any PvP. I would definitely like to see more aesthetic variety. More customization options and definitely more variety in the weapons.

There is some variety, just not as much as witnessed in a few other games. Mechanic wise, it may seem fairly linear, but I think it could evolve some more over time. The recon and dreadnaught are the two most pigeon holed mechanic wise at the moment, which is a little sad from my point of view. The animation part is a work in progress the way i understand it and at some point the hitboxes should more closely align and follow a more dynamic animation pattern (some an interview, i can't cross link it right now). The character models themselves I am uncertain if they will evolve a lot more, since they do have large world environments involving textures and polygons associated with hit areas that have more overhead than active time battle sctipted DOT based traditional MMO styled games. They have a good vision for the game. I just don't see the entire vision at the moment to make better guesses or estimates currently.

I agree. They have a more solid framwork and compelling mechanics than most paid games. I already like this better than Borderlands, Brink and few other similar titles.

But does the whole point of the game revolve around the thumpers? Or is there more to it? I have noticed there are a few dailies and misc. quests. I assume it feels limiting due to the state of the beta.

NazcaC2 But does the whole point of the game revolve around the thumpers? Or is there more to it? I have noticed there are a few dailies and misc. quests. I assume it feels limiting due to the state of the beta. At some point they will implement the invasions/seiges along with the conquest system to push back the melding allowing folks to get to the other outposts currently hidden within the melding. There are even some scripted dialogue/quest sequences already in place that refrence the sigu outpost and problems they are having. Thumping is more of a means to an end. PVP is more of a distraction to the regular routine. A lot of what they have planned for the game, they keep rather close to the chest, so it is hard to see what it will be once it is more complete. They have released videos involving vehicles and other regions currently unaccessable. I am uncertain of any additional options the ARMY system will have. It gets opened/closed periodically with no patch notes, so it is hard to say. The last two patches have been more about the in game economics, so i think they are looking at the foundation more than features at the moment which is probably a wise choice.

They haven't done a major content patch in the past few months. Basically you collect resources to upgrade equipment in order to try out different things or pvp more effectively. There are certain things in game that suggest other quests that should exist, but are not implemented yet. As far as I can tell, they are focusing on mechanics instead of features and content at the moment. That could change though. Check for the patch note posting today to get an idea of what next week will be like.
