I need to disable this firmware from my FTW EVGA x79, AsmediaASM1041/ASM1042 USB3 controller firmware, Version 110914 Pour WindowsXP/Vista/7 32/64bits! I have windows 7 64 bit! How should I proceed? I would like to install the old firmware but working

You have to use dos and try to flash it back

nope. command prompt is still in windows 7 64bit.

Do you have the asmedia firmware version before the update ?

I found firmware 0322, apparently it works better. I'll try it out and let you know. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my usb to work in dos.

Done with no issues. BootCd. Ramdrive. USB Thumbdrive flashed it to the FW 0322. No issues. Will continue testing with a usb 3.0 storage device plugged in.
