Stanford server issues Monday, April 23, 2012 8:33 PM (permalink)
Is Stanford having server issues with them not accepting Wu's? The reason I ask is I have like two or three bigadv's that are waiting to be uploaded but cannot connect to the server. I look around doc and see others getting 0 points the last couple of days.

Here is the server stats page: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html
Have a look at the return IP address for the WU, then look at the list to se if the IP is having trouble.

I looked at the server list and it says it is full. I had this same issue here very recent on the exact same sever. Not sure what to do as they wont upload but i am able to download a new wu everytime.
      130.237.232.237 is the server.

first check your system for upload issue- including firewall(reboot system - including routers-modems)
then if you have eliminated that post at FF

They had an issue with that server this weekend and I had the same problem.
Hit Ctrl+c to stop the client.
./fah6 -queueinfo   Note the slot numbers that contain completed units.
./fah6 -send X  Where X is  the single digit number of a slot containing a completed unit.
Repeat -send X until all units have been sent.  Using the -send all command failed for me.

This is pretty sad. I am unable to upload the wu's and yet i can continue to get new ones. Not sure what to do but this is really annoying.

I'd post over at FF about it.  Given it's the weekend, you can probably kiss those points goodbye :( .

Load up an SMP client until the fix the issue.

Probably just gonna shut down the cpu client until they decide they can fix the issue. This isnt the first time i have had this issue. The other time was about a month or less and had the same issue and then all of a sudden they got uploaded.

FAH gives a stupid low return date to start with then the server will not except, so there goes any bonus you would have gotten.
They want these returned quickly, but can't keep the server running, doesn't really make since huh?
I think they where stupid to move bigadv to 16 cores as is.
I'm sure they where getting way more returns "on time" the way it was before the move to 16.
Plus at the time more than one OS could work them, not now, dumb...
I'm thinking seriously about just turning off all my rigs and just quit folding.
Then sell off all this hardware that I will no longer need.
Hell I be partly rich after the sell! wow lol

I have been getting the same issues it seems. My GPU units are currently showing unknown project and unknown points, 0% complete (using FAH GPU Tracker).

I will miss the 350k mark this month because of this issue

Thanks for this, it has kick started the GPU again, wish I had asked earlier. I will do about 300k this month instead of my usual 500k ish.

Not sure what is going on now, downloaded the project list as suggested and that wu worked ok, but now back to the original issue. I have tried downloading the project list a few times but still stuck at 0% on GPU and unknown project.

Any suggestions?  SMP seems to be working ok.

I was aware of the monitor sleeping issue and had aready disabled that function, but I thought it may be the drivers anyway, so I have re-installed the previous version (295.73) and re-booted the pc and it seems to be working now, fingers crossed it's still running in the morning when I check it :)

Hopefully it will all be back on track in time for the Chimp Challenge. Now, do I ask nVidia for for my 5 EVGA bucks I missed out on

Hell I be partly rich after the sell! wow lol

I agree with you. They want them done within a certain time but your stuck trying to upload the wu to the server and it wont go. It sucks for someone like me who has a data limit each month and almost half of it gets used by trying to upload and connect to a server that wont allow you to connect to it. Almost to the point of shutting it down.
