Also a great mini event to hold for BF3 would be during June. Since the new DLC will be out put a server to run the DLC maps only. Let's say the TDM server since it is a CQB DLC. It would drive people to come to the server plus get the name out again during a surge of people playing BF3.

I'm thinking the next event will be the Anniversary Gaming Event. Hmmm, that's in July , so they could have a mini event in between to bring players into the servers.

What about one of those image competitions where you have to photochop the EVGA banner into a funny screenshot (or even a real-world photograph)?

TF2 servers are consistent ghost towns. Except when there are events. Though I think the F2P shift is most responsible. I don't own BF3, which replaced BC2, and I no longer play L4D so that doesn't leave much else. Since all that I'm not as forum active as I once was, so that said I guess I don't have any ideas.

The powers that be will meet today to discuss the mini event for June. I would suggest anyone that has not spoken up, do so soon. Prizes will likely be swag and such... In addition to the mini event, please propose a scrim idea. Maybe with OCN again. We **might** be able to do some prizes (or more likely swag) for one of those as well.

I spoke with one of the guys over at OCN about a possible scrim about two weeks ago. They are always up for one... Just a matter of figuring out when to schedule it since we would prefer to use one of our servers for the match this time around.

OCN has the same issues we do, pain in the butt to get community to play on the servers unless they can win a prize while doing it.

Wouldn't mind a chance to play a little TF2 against EVGA staff during the little gaming event coming up. See just how many of you I can shoot with my flare gun and light on fire. I'm a very evil Pyro.

Glad to see someone's up for it! You do Payload with Short Respawn? My favorite of the game modes, personally. Can also do control point, but that's less fun for me.

Yeah I like the short respawn. I don't do CP maps. They were overplayed when the game first came out.

Both game types are fine, although payload is easier to pick up with the glowing cart and all. Also, missa stopped spamming the group events; one notice wasn't enough so two more would pop-up.

I'm sure it was. In any case, it was a healthy reminder that people are on the server.

yeah but that's not what the group notices are for. It's for big events going on in EVGA. We can always start a group for TF2 players to join so they are notified when someone wants to start getting the servers going.

I would do it but I already have enough on my plate as it is. I can help with inviting people to the group that I know play TF2 but I don't want to manage the group.

I think we should make more use of the free-to-play games as there are a lot coming out lately. People who want to participate but didn't buy a game, can. Games, for example: - Tribes Ascend (top rated)
- Blacklight Retribution (top rated)
- TF2 (already on the EVGA list; most played)
- MicroVolts
- Moon Breakers

The problem with most of the games you listed is no way for evga to track if someone played or not.

To truly track who actually logged onto a server and for how long requires dedicated servers that are owned by EVGA. Think BF3 servers, and TF2. While I LOVE BL:R, it does not have that type of server system. However, I'm sure EVGA could talk with some of the devs over there and get a handy little weapon tag made for us EGC guys that play Blacklight. They make custom tags all the times for groups like PC world, IGN, etc.
