bhk1004 crezno Yea the one from EASTAR is the gloss one. At least when he sent it to me. However, they are much cheaper on ebay. The one on amazon was 368 when i bought it, and i got 2 on ebay just recently for 335 each. Same ones on there. how are you 570's holding up? Actually better than I thought. I am definitely going to upgrade to either the 690 or the 680 Classified in the future, but with the new beta drivers and the FXAA, the VRAM on the cards doesnt max out on most things at that 2D surround resolution. When using MSAA its terrible. Screen has some stutter and fps drop pretty low at times.

I'd love to try 3D surround on these, but after trying nvidia 3d on a single panel I'm not sure I'd be impressed. You have do disable particle effects for the 3D to run (it won't render it) and in my case I had to drop the resolution. I've had a much better time using a 3D TV and letting the TV process the 3D conversion. If I had the room and the cash, I'd definitely test out 3D TV surround gaming. If anyone wants me to run such a setup for educational purposes, let me know and I'll set up a fund :)

2 or 3 680 4gb should do the trick. Might have to play with settings though.

I might look for used 580. Maybe I can trade someone my HP for a 580 preferably with a water block and a decent power supply..

vwlichtenstein: The reason I didn't pay for the "pixel perfect" model is because they still say that it can potentially have a dead pixel on the screen and they accept that as 'normal' so unable to return for it. I saved myself the $60 or $80 whatever it was and got the normal monitor and have 1 dead pixel. But I honestly never see it. I would of been way more annoyed if I payed more and still got a dead pixel. Enjoy your screen though, it's got an amazing picture! I hopefully will be able to get another two after I get myself a GTX 680 FTW 4GB.

I'd file a claim on ebay if I paid extra for a pixel check and got a dead pixel. I'd even go so far as to chargeback my CC and screw over the seller and paypal both at the same time should the need arise. I don't take kindly to getting ripped off.

Would kinda be hard to do so when on the seller page it clearly states the terms of purchase. Which is why I saved the cash and went with a 'normal' version.

Wait what, he offers to check for dead pixels, but in the description it says it might still have one? what a load! I'd find another seller, one of them checks for you and doesn't charge. I don't know if he still does since he is getting so much action these days. If I knew I could get it checked 100% I'd buy 3 at a discount, maybe 4 and sell one or two. They aren't name brand, but they are worth it to anyone who knows what resolution means. I'd market it for what it is for $400+.

That's not one person, it's all the ones off eBay. The normal ones are around the $350 mark, and the 'pixel perfect' ones are around $430 Snap of one of the sellers description on the pixel perfect model.

I mean to be fair, he cant say what will happen to the screen while its on its way to you. All he can offer to do is turn it on, and check if there are any dead pixels. Once it ships its out of his hands.

Whatever you guys do don't pay extra for the pixel perfect model. You can still get up to 5 bad pixels and your only recourse will be the seller will refund you the difference between the regular version vs the perfect pixel model. So if you get a perfect monitor with no issues the seller just made an extra $ 50-100. This last time I bought from Bigclothcraft and spent a few days emailing him and he will check your regular version monitor for free. I paid $340 and got a really awesome monitor. The only negative thing is it's a D model so 65 hz is as far as I can oc it. I run all my games with 470 sli and have no problems. The only game that really pushes it is Witcher 2 with ubersampling enabled. Any of you running 1080 monitors that are sitting on the fence wondering if it's worth upgrading, IT'S WORTH IT :)

My 480's in SLI was sitting at 30 FPS. turn it off, and right back to 60 fps. it looks so pretty though...

Just hooked it up and first initial impressions are wow. No dead pixles and everything hooked up just fine. I did not get a Plug converter but I just used the old cable from my last monitor. Other than the wobbly stand which unless your in an earthquake is not that big of a deal. Looks like I can tighten it down some more. About to check out my VRAM usage in BF3 and check out how well FFXIV plays.

warlord420 some versions of this monitor can be Overclocked to 120Hz . Please do tell. If that's so then I will definitely considering picking one of these up. How do I tell between the OC'able and non-OC'able ones? 120Hz 27" for ~$350 is unreal.

Yea I wouldnt pay for the pixel perfect claims. I got 2 from the prefered seller on ebay for $335 each and one came perfect, the other had 1 green pixel, hard to notice on anything but a black background since they are so small, and the one i got on amazon was perfect to. None of them have backlight bleed or anything. 1 bad pixel out of 11,059,200 pixels isnt too bad id say, and even with the 1 dead pixel i wouldnt be able to justify the extra $350 to get that garauntee. Im betting the dead pixel came after shipping anyway. The seller wrapped the monitors in bubble wrap as extra protection, but FedEx still managed to dent the crap out of one of the boxes. Long way to go, lots of transfers =/

I must start looking for one, it sounds like it would be worth it. You don't happen to know of any resource discussing the "OCing" process. I'm sure I can google, but I'm begging for a shortcut :P loveha Ordered mine from Amazon, which cost a little more than some on FleaBay, but I hate buying anything from there. I agree on the "Flea" bay. Do you happen to remember the seller you bought it from on Amazon? As of right now I only see one. shazam loveha The model number is the deciding factor on that, but they are very very few and far between. The OC model is 2B, I didn't get one, which is not big deal to me. Under the name EASTAR, link to the store here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/...;seller=A2RDXJO0OQJEVR That is the only Seller on Amazon. Anything and everything you could possibly ever want to know on this monitor can be found here. http://www.overclock.net/...i-catleap-monitor-club
