OK, after doing some reading on these monitors I still have one question. Has anyone here ran these for say 6 months to a year or more. My concern with this brand is longevity, after reading I know it displays a sharp image but for how long? I have had my ViewSonic 1920x1080 for 2 years this month and it has been rock solid. Would it be fair to assume I can expect the same from Yamakasi?

There are a bunch of different driver boards for these panels though. If there is any variation in quality it'll be the driver boards and casing where you'll find it.

Just arrived tonight. Not bad considering I ordered it on Thursday of last week. Shipped DHL to Long Beach, CA from Incheon, South Korea. More info: Monitor ordered from Bigclothcraft. Communication was excellent, Box came in excellent shape and encased in another protective foam wrapping. Zero dead pixels. I just now hooked it up and it's absolutely awesome. I may consider getting two more for surround.

I've been playing The Secret World on mine and it looks stunning! The one drawback of such a nice resolution, is they haven't adjusted font sizes for this resolution, so all the text is quite small. But I think they are fixing that. Can't wait to get my GTX 670 4GB SC so I can max out tessellation and all that cool jazz.

These things are awesome, seriously. I still can't believe I only paid 310 including shipping. It's almost too good to be true.

Johnny, did you get any dead/stuck pixels? I have also been very impressed with the quality despite the low price point. I paid $320 when I got mine, and I know they were around the $350 mark when they first surfaced. So it is good to see prices going down, rather than up like alot of other things.

Great news! I got one dead pixel, but honestly I never see it. Once I get some more cash saved up, (and a bigger desk) I'm going to buy another 2 for surround with my new GTX 670 that I got coming.

More info on this in the overclock.net thread.

I now have to go through the task of taking off the stand and bracket (the silver arc) so I can use the VESA mounts and attach to my stand. I saw the great post on overclock.net and I will try it later on tonight.

The de-bezel/casing of them I saw awhile back. That looked awesome as far as bezel size. I'd like to see someone mask off the panels and matte black paint the shells.

Has anyone here had any experience with the tempered glass model? The only negative I have seen from reading is some of them have dust in between the glass and the panel. They seem to be a bit cheaper.

Received mine today. Aside from a little unevenness in backlighting, this thing is BEAUTIFUL! It makes my other monitors look horrible :( lol, I can see why they say you won't go back. Also, my 670 still pushes 40-50+fps in The Secret World, which surprised me. I may not have needed a second card after all, but it's on it's way shortly!

Oh no, mine is just a 60hz model. I'm going to wait and see if they ever offer the 120hz pcb's by themselves. This was basically an impulse by because of a really good deal.
