I purchased an EVGA GTX 570 SC HD "AR" edition (lifetime warranty) for my folding rig recently, 2nd hand last week.
Part Number: 012-P3-1573-AR
Part Desc: EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Superclocked
It was originally purchased 11/22/2011 from NewEgg. On the "
EVGA Guest RMA" page, when I enter the serial number, it says:
Shipped Date: 11/02/2011
The days left for warranty period : 932 Days
Awesome.
Under the
new warranty announcements April 2nd (thank you!), it says all cards that were purchased on or after July 1st, 2011 have the warranty transferable.
Even more awesome!
And yes, I am aware of the clause in the new terms that says:
The warranty is available for a time period of no more than 3* years from the EVGA shipping date.
Ok, a little
less awesome on an "AR" lifetime warranty card to begin with. But, I'll take it.
The problem: So, I registered the card (was not registered before). But now, under "My Products" View Details page for this card, it says:
Warranty Information:
This product was not registered within 30 days of purchase and carries a one (1) year limited warranty from your purchased date.
I think this is a bug, as everything else, even the new Guest RMA page that allows me to submit an RMA, seems to indicate that this card has a bit under 3 years remaining.
I even went in and uploaded the original invoice (yes, about 5 months late), waited, and still the same error.
But, maybe I am wrong?
