Quick note: multi-boot

I recommend that you use grub/grub2 for a bootloader if you run windows + linux if you use hibernate. The windows boot loader will autoboot into your most recently used version of windows rather than giving you a menu if a hibernation file exists. Grub will give you a menu so you can select which partition/OS to use.

who does not use grub I'm what else is out there that works as well lol I mean, not many distos are out there that come with something else

Lilo may work. my point was mostly that the windows 7 (or I would assume XP or vista) boot loader, while you can add linux to the menu, doesn't display under all circumstances. It's possible that while the system is hibernated that the ntfs file system may be inaccessible (marked as dirty), but I haven't looked into that. And there are always ways around that:P
