The way I see it, depends on your motives. Time and space would be best for exploiting knowledge of the past and future for benefit (which leads to consequences of your actions). Alternate worlds would be for the explorer type where nothing you do would have personal consequences because you could always jump realities after your sense of adventure is satisfied.

Neither; Traveling through time could cause the grandfather paradox, what if you did something that affected your own birth, while jumping realities , what if you carried a plague, ended a civilization, or worse yet ended up somewhere where there was NO EVGA.
