I don't know, for some reason I really like the style of the older video cards (8xxx series through the gtx 2xx series)

Some of them just seem to lack a sort of personality.

I have to say the GTX 480 had some style. Also the GTX 590 Classified looked pretty cool. But since your posted in the 600 series forum, I do agree that so far this series has some work. EVGA has some nice looking cards on their way. But the green print on the GTX 680 is horrible.

For me it would be aesome if we got Patches for Leather Jackets. Just me I guess.

These are the ugliest GPU's I have ever seen.  I have never seen someone with a PC case/components that would match that puke green color.  They should really choose a new art person next time.
 
I have been thinking this since I opened the box...why are these cards so ugly.
 
*I'm looking at it again through the side window and I really want to know who looked at that lettering and thought it was a brilliant idea.  Don't let them decide on anything else imo.

Guess what? I like the green colour.  But thats just me.
The thing I dont like? It only says "Geforce GTX'.  It should have 'Geforce 680 GTX'

Yea, the EVGA sticker does look fugly and so does every other graphics distributers. I mean we all know it is a GTX 680. I prefer the Nvidia default on the 680.

I liked the light up "GeForce" Logo on the 5xx

I liked the colors on that 9800gtx, though. That was one hell of a sexy card.

I paint my cards completely white, then I add red and blue. America.

I think this might be one of my lesser issues w/ EVGA -  It seems they still have not found an identity. 
    They are always different colors and looks to them. Some red, some green, then blue, and we get black of course.
 
 I think with alot of other vendors, you see the shape or colors & they are pretty consistent in the overall looks , ...yet EVGA seems to always be changing theirs- I guess to please all of our whinings ?  - Which may be a good thing or bad, depending on how you look at it.
 
 I know it may sound petty but it slightly irritates me ,..  probably because I like EVGA  and want to offer constructive criticism.

I think the EVGA 680 design is classy and understated.  I think the ones form the other vendors look cheap and cheesy like they were made for a kids computer!   

Are you talking about the heatsink casing?
 
The trend to optimize a product's functionality makes them all eventually look the same; which includes cars, music and smartphones, etc.  Sure there is no rule that prevents creativity, but we can't please everyone since asthetics are subjective.  It is largely about deminishing returns; although a sticker is the cheapest option considering the card is upsidedown in most ATX cases.
 
Cost is always the bottomline, if you're willing to pay extra for style, make it known as well as how much extra.  Remember, we speak with our wallets; can't just complain when credibility is represented through what we buy.

I like the body of the 680 but hate that green logo. Its going to aggravate me since my whole case is full of blue lights. My 580 was nice since it matched.

Eh... Can't really do a whole lot with the cooler since it's just about as efficient as this air cooling gets and pushes it out the back of your case rather than inside.
 
I think Asus has it down, sticking to the skimpy animated warrior girls... Can't really go wrong there.
 
I don't know though... I love my GTX 480 with the back plate and heat pipes coming out the side... I also like the art on the GTX 580. As for the older 8800Ultra, 9800GTX, GTX 285... I didn't like any of the art on those.

I personally don't think anything looks too great stock. Even if it does, well... it's still what everyone else has and doesn't look distinct. Mod it.
