For what it's worth here is a X79 SLI in an 800D.

I think they're a good match - EVGA has the best PCB IMO - Far better then anything Assus has.

The 800D supports - ATX, EATX, mATX evidently not the XL-ATX Form Factor of a Classified.  Definitely dig into this farther before moving forward, it requires modifications.

Corsair say that case will only support a mATX, ATX and EATX board sizes.
The Classy is a XL-ATX. So it won't fit natively.
Granted, there's probably oodles of space in there for it to fit, but the spacers on the MB tray aren't there for that size.
Would probably fit if you modded the case and drilled some holes yourself.

ATG, what fans do you use? I'm getting that case soon. Hope I don't need to mod too much!

I've used Scythe and Thermal Takes - both good fans.  Only thing you'll notice is if you sandwich the rads like I did (one rad inside one rad outside - you'll want to use a 38mm wide fan in between them.  This allows space to put screws in.  Also, i put motherboard standoffs in the top of the inside radiator - these act as spacers so I could run wire into the case.  (You'll see it when you get the case.)  Great case BTW - only complaints are the fans that come with it don't push much air, and they need to add some more space behind the mother board tray.  It's a little tight for all the wires, tubing.

If you should decide not to go with the Corsair D800 which is a very good chassic then google the term "xl-ATX compatible PC cases" and you'll get a fine listing. I always prefer Corsair for my chassis needs but since they do not carry a natively supported XL-ATX chassis I prefer as my second choice a Cooler Master HAF-X or the Cosmos II.
Intel i7 3820 + Corsair H100, Corsair Vengeance LP Black 32GB (CML32GX3M4A1600C10), EVGA GTX 680, (GTX 580/GTX 670SC for folding) Corsair AX1200 + Sleeved Corsair Modular cabling, EVGA X79 SLI MB, Corsair Force GS 240GB SSD (system), WD 2TB Black (two)  for storage/backup, Acer 23.6 inch LCD, Windows 7 Ultimate, Corsair 600T White Special Edition PC chassis, Corsair M60 + K60, Corsair Vengeance 2000 Headset, Corsair Link.

R.I.P. JeffreyHam I'll keep folding for you and others in an effort to find a cure!

Well I dont have any pics of my 800D modded yet...( Still waiting for the Mountain Mods tray to arrive) and  using X58 format boards, I did purchase the Switch 810 by NZXT to get me by till I'm finished with the 800. Your Motherboard will fit this case perfectly as it was designed for XL-ATX boards like the X79 Classified

And for under $200 its a steal....

Do you know if the x79 FTW fits ok without modding on the 800D?

Thats 6 120mm fans right? Depending on the Dba of the fans you use, you should be able to keep it tolerable.
