i had high hopes that they might consider some thing - i was so wrong on this --what a fail attempt to screw us all over by not even giving a proper answer .

though i had high hopes that they might come with up with a soloution to all these problems but its not going to happen -

its about time i sale the sr2 and go with ASUS --atleast one thing they do right is listen to there fan base .

epic fail on EVGA ..

This is sadly what evga does with there customers when new products come out where pritty much kicked to the trash since were not important anymore as the customers purchasing srx.

Make a peace in you mind :)
Memory problems (resetting some settings every once in a while) and loosing saved profiles in bios stay forever with this board :D

Ive found a bug with the SR2 A56 (dont know about other versions) when every now and then on boot up it gives you CMOS CHECKSUM BAD and you have to re-enter all your BIOS settings again or use default it can become annoying at times. Anyone else experience this ?

Ya, I've experienced that many times. I'm trying to find a bios that actually saves my overclock settings. Anyone know which one is best? I'm sick of having to re-enter my settings only to have my computer forget them again when I unplug and move it.

I don't personally have the issue with a56 but I hear a54 works pretty good have you tried that?

Try a new cmos battery may fix that problem. Low or dead battery will cause loss of settings and time/date.
If time and date are holding it my not be the battery, but still wouldn't hurt to replace it just to see if the problem goes away.

Edit: Wow 3 and a 1/2 months since EVGA_JacobF posted he saw this and still no new bios.
That should be more than enough time to build a new bios from scratch ??
or I would think since they already know the basic for this platform.

Ya, I reverted to A53 bios, but still have issues. I don't think it is the battery either since lots of people have this issue.

Yea if the time and date are still set correct its not the battery, so its a problem with the bios or motherboard.

I have had that issue as well with the checksome and losing all settings about ever 10th shutdown. fortunatly I have got this thing running so stable that it currently has over 2 months uptime, lol

Just found out , sr2 bios chip can be removed or exchanged without soldering works , so evga can make a gui enabled bios for a sr2 , not you cant say that bios chip is out of space , due to there are some 8pin soic chip even with 64mb space , one more thing , you dont even have to give us a bios chip , just a well made bios file with gui and with bug fixes , we could reprogram it to new chip..

Intresting new2019 is that the bios chip with the plastic lid sort of thing? it has 1w55 5a43 written on it near the led indicator? looks to be removable.  Eaither way even if it is possible i cant see evga doing anything for us. Wasnt it a rom issuie with the revodrive as well?

Very very good find dude. Im not sure, jaccob said somthing about i would love for us to have  a gui bios, will see if we ever get a reply. It would be pretty neat as an optional download all in all and we could use to program the chip

Maybe but its not right either way what they do. Paying customers like us shouldn't just be ignored cause a newer product has come out.

And THAT is the biggest reason I likely won't get the SR-X.  I've felt like we got just enough support to get their inventory to sell, but now we're way back on the backburner, which is NOT what I expect when I spend this level of $ on a product after a year or so.

Maybe they'll prove us wrong, but its certainly pretty silent from their end thus far.

I totally agree with you one main reason I will not get a sr-x is cause of the way us owners are being treated after spending so much $ on there products.

Somehow i dont think they are ever going to reply, im pretty sure they proberly now would only update bios to somthing really problematic. For a computer company and the backround, they truely are not that thorougher in ironing out things that do actually make a difference in this thread live and learn i guess.

I'd have to agree EVGA only responding four times to this thread in (4) four months is only hurting them selves.
Many have read this thread as you can see by the views.
Those people see what kind of support EVGA is willing to give to there upper class customers so lower end
product people know they don't stand a chance for support on there products.
I'm sure if like others that have read this they to will be looking else where when its time for there next purchase.

Wake up call EVGA. You snooze you loose.

Edit:Sorry, my bad 4 times in 4 months. 3 times by EVGA_JacobF and once by EVGA_MatthewH,
but still over 3 months since the last response & that was just to say the driver page for the SR2 was updated.
                                                        Nothing more about the bios.
