So here is what happened. I just recieved my 4th RMA GTX 580 FTW HC2 within a year. Maybe I'm just bad luck, i did all sorts of troubleshooting and nothing ever fixes it. The card ends up being completely dead. The good thing is I purchased Advance RMA (EAR), definitely speed up the process, but cost $30 buck each time. In the mean time, I'm using my old eVGA GTX 260 and it works like a charm.
Anyways, I plug in my newly recertified GTX 580 FTW HC, let the water run through the entire system and i notice one thing. I see color in my reservior. (Edited out for language)
Apparently, previous user had used color dye in his loop. I myself do not like to use dye in water loop. The only thing i have is running in my loop is distilled water and Silver kill coils. The color is not deep, but a slight purple tint to it. /sigh!
Because of this, i now have to take apart my SB/NB waterblock, Mofsets, reservior, (2 radiators 480, 240) CPU block, and i need new tubings, and rinse out out any type of dye in my water pump. This is a lot of (Edited out for language)
work. I'm really upset this actually happend, i call customer care and they told me as long as card is in working condition, the card good. The customer representative advised to rinse the waterblock with water; (Edited out for language).
