While HotRodPolk is right, a little more detail would be that you can not SLI a GTX460 Regular and a GTX460 SE.

Their are now also 192 bit cards that are not the SE version.

Here is a nice chart and info on which cards can sli together:

Why why why, not change the name of the card or at least indicate on the package if it is v1 or v2. I bought an EVGA GTX 460 1gb to pair with my existing EVGA GTX 460 1gb, making sure not to get the GTX 460 SE or the GTX 460 768mb. I just got finished installing the card and reinstalling drivers, open nvidia control panel and see:
            GeForce GTX 460
            GeForce GTX 460 v2
Not sure what to do at this point... but I'm very disappointed with EVGA now, and I have an EVGA mobo plus this is the 4th EVGA card I've bought.

I'm pretty sure this was an NVIDIA thing, but it would be nice to have V2 mentioned somewhere on the product spec.  Right now your only tell-tale sign is the 192-bit memory.

As for solutions, it depends on where you buy it.  Here are the options for replacement.  I recommend looking for the 01G-P3-1370-KR model.  3-year transferrable warranty.

Neither package has any indication of 192-bit or 256-bit. The only mention of memory on the boxes are 1gb GDDR5 and the older card shows 1024mb GDDR5, I thought they were the same :D

Maybe it was Nvidias doing... but I find it hard to believe that EVGA did not know about the change.

Teaches me a lesson when buying straight from a retail store instead of bargain shopping online haha, well at least on products that do not list their specs on the package

                PS
Thanks for the link to replacement cards, I should've just gotten it online but I just hate the wait :D

Well hopefully you can return ASAP since it was a B&M store.  Get the 1370-KR card now while it's still available...

Yeah, there's nothing on the box... that's an issue.

Shouldn't be a problem to return I hope, but if they are crowded or there's some problem I'll probably just give it to my girl, I think her 8800 GTS has just about had it haha.

Thanks for the advice, I may snatch up the 1370-KR but this buy was on a whim while I'm waiting to build my new rig. So with this bad taste in my mouth I may just wait it out.

Looking for your thoughts on the best SLI 2nd card to match with my:
                      (1) 01G-P3-1373-AR
Starting to get smoked in games and need a mild $ upgrade.

Thanks for your help in advance!
I would get the same card but can't find a reliable source that dosn't use pay pal or cost way to much.
                      Windows I7 - 64 bit, CPU 950 @ 3.07 GHz, 6 gigs ram, 750 watts

                      Is your call a:
                      01G-P3-1370-KR model ?

01G-P3-1370-KR is a good choice, second hand cards are an even better bet (economically).  See here for some EVGA options.

Thank you for the reply and the link to your chart! Currently looking for the card - the KR is a hard one to find.
