790i FTW with G.SKILL RipjawsX F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM Saturday, March 24, 2012 9:02 AM (permalink)
Hello, first sorry for my english. A salesman told me that these memories would work correctly with speed above 2000MHz.
But I'm not getting. At most, without conflict, I am able to 1600Mhz. They are in the black slot. Can anybody home a light at the end of the tunnel?
Thank you, Leandro.

Welcome to the forum!  First off, the RAM that you are using is not designed for five generations old technology.  It is designed for, and I quote,"Designed for 2nd Generation Intel Core Processors and Z68/P67 platforms".  Secondly, while some folks can run 4GB RAM modules on the 790i series boards, some cannot.  The boards "officially" support a maximum of 2GB RAM modules per slot.  Thirdly, it would help if you would edit your first post, and list all of your hardware.
