I put in a step-up request for a GTX680 this morning - #815 in the queue.  It will be a long wait, I'm not complaining at all.  My SLI 570s are working well.  Besides, where else can i use a card for 90 days and then get what i paid for it to use towards an upgrade?  EVGA rocks!

Its strange that you guys are having to wait so long when they have the GTX 680s in stock right now on the website (EU) and places like Scan.co.uk have never actually sold out of EVGA 680s or any other 680's for that matter theirs a total abundance of them in the EU at the moment!

Strange, I started at ~#750 about 2 weeks ago now and I've only moved down like 30 places (719).  ****
 
Feel like I should have just taken my 580 (which I bought specifically to step up to a 680) back to microcenter and gotten a 670 instead.  Probably too late to return it now...

I am sitting at 761 but I'm more than happy with my 580 in what I play so no real rush for me.

Moved from #23 today to #15.  Man what happened to the 20 a week

i went from #18 to number #10 today, hopefully we will see another 10 tomorrow.

I've been 325 for like 2 weeks or more.

I can't step-up at all, my 580's are too old and I want a 690 bad. I guess I can either try and sell them or take them to the local pawn shop. Hmmm, I wonder what they'd give me??

Pawn shop would probably give you $50 for'em ;). But no joke, you wouldn't get your moneys' worth. Anyways, been going down at least 20 a week and currently at 127 now :). Started at 441 few months ago -.-, but a steady 20 a week so hopefully by next the mid next month :)

I was 52 about 3 months ago......... the 680s are fantastic..........keep waiting guys, its worth it :P 

I think I've been in Q for  3 months now and have moved up  from maybe # 480 or so to #299 now. Unless something changes I'm guessing  around November or December I'll be doing some shipping :)

pick up a 460 on the cheap till your new card arrives. then, if you want, you can sell it. i like to have "backup" parts though.

Sitting at #402 after more than 10 weeks, started around 472 if I recall. GTX580 -> GTX680. 
 
This is my first step-up process, all in all extremely disappointed.  My main problem is the fact that a lengthy 6-12 month wait wasn't indicated in the beginning, or I would have just immediately sold the GTX580 secondhand.  At the rate the queue is going, GK110 based SKU's will be out soon after receiving the 680.
 
I understand that "supply shortage" was the excuse given for the slowness in the first couple months, but GTX680's including EVGA brand have been readily available at major retailers for some time now.  So while some argue that EVGA's step up is more than other vendors are doing and there's no right to complain, at the same time other vendors haven't promised something and then not lived up to it for the majority of program participants.  Worse yet, if EVGA declines the step-up AFTER the waiting period for any reason, your original card has depreciated for 6-12 months that you could have otherwise sold it at the outset and been using the newer card much sooner for an additional cost equal to what the original card would have depreciated during the waiting period.

"On the bright side this entire experience is being documented for a product review site, so I have to ride it out on that basis just to see how long it goes, otherwise I'd just cut my losses and sell the card.  The price diff would be worth it to me to use a 680 before its obsolete. "

I also see today a competing GTX670 being sold for $369 after a rebate and now I'm really starting to question the wisdom of waiting 6 more months and sacrificing the higher performance level during that waiting period.  The math of waiting on stepup vs selling secondhand immediately and buying new is beginning to look it could be a wash, if that. 

Does anybody think that there will something new come out before they get their stepup card? I am number 756 in the queue and I think there will be a newer card come out before I have a chance to get a GTX680 card.

At that queue number it's possible at this rate, but then step up is cheaper than buying a card outright obviously.
 
I'm too lazy to try to sell my card though, that may work better.

I decided to go with 670, since it only 5-10% worse performance at only 80% price ... so ... I dumped the 680 idea.
Just signed up for 570 step up to 670 and my queue spot# is 121.
 

Yes I am stepping up to GTX680, I know it's crazy but I am stepping up from a GTX670 SC. It is only going to cost me $89.00 I originally wanted to get a GTX680 but the GTX670 came out so I got one. As long as the queue is I will get my use out of the GTX670 and maybe into the next generation of Geforce video cards.

Has anyone moved this week (6/25- 29)? I'm numbers 31, and 504 for the GTX680 and was hoping to mail out one my cards next week.
