Why did my computer shut itself down

No idea why, my cpu temps are 38c idle, so there is no heat issue. Not sure about the psu, its not being stressed that much, and it is only 12 months old.

I would also assume a temp issue. Or maybe a psu issue. Is it just your computer that shuts down or other appliances too? Usually when cpu cooling devices fail or the cpu temps reach higher than the max tdp value the cpu with throttle down and issue a shutdown.

Maybe my psu is on the blink, hope not, i do not have another psu.

What exactly happened? What was you doing on the rig when it crashed? Which PSU? Did anything else in the house trip or flicker?

If it was a one time event, just keep an eye on it, if it's a repeatable event or re accruing, you have issues, a geographical area can experience a brown out, low supply can prevent a PSU from meeting demand. I've even seen another item coming on line like a air condition compressor cause a shut down.

do you have any kind of overclocking in place, or manually adjusted voltages?

If it happens again, then PM me, and lemme know what happened again, and I will help further. I know sometimes when the washer or dryer shuts off, it will create a line sag, and my rig will sometimes shutdown when that happens. That's why I'm about to run a dedicated line from the breaker box to my rig, so nothing interrupts it like that.
