Z68 SLI motherboard post code 22. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 1:14 PM (permalink)
The title basically says it. What is post code 22? it's showing up on the LED debugger. I had a little trouble installing the Patriot 16GB Division 4 VIper Extreme RAM, it didn't pop like both manuals said it should, but the board was giving alot, and it didn't feel quite right. I did match the notch up to the slot too. Would this be it. It kinda showed that RAM problems would have a 2 as the prefix, but 22 wasn't in there. Thanks!

22 means it can't initialize the memory. Try reseating it or testing the sticks individually.

I just noticed this post after making my post about the error code 22. This might be helpful to you.

"This is in regards to the P67 SLI Micro motherboard.

After transferring my components to a new chasis (and the installation of a Corsair H60 water cooler for the CPU), I kept getting the Error 22 code on the motherboard readout. This error code isn't covered in the manual and I couldn't find any information related to it via googling. Or at least, any helpful information.

So, I called EVGA support and while they were very helpful, they didn't know what error code 22 meant for certain and just told me to reseat the CPU and make sure that my motherboard wasn't being shorted out by something.

Well, it turns out that having the Corsair H60 plugged into the CPU fan connector was causing the error. I switched it to the fan controller and left the CPU fan controller open with nothing plugged into it.

I have no idea why that was causing the error, but I assume it was shorting out the motherboard or something like that. But the water pump works great being plugged into the fan controller.

So, if you're desperate and searching for information about the error code 22, I hope you find this post and I hope it's helpful to you. "

D6 is no video card detected. Try another PCIe slot. If you still get D6 try another PSU or GPU if you can.
                  Thanks,

22 is no memory. Try each stick in each slot. Then reseat the CPU and check for bent or damaged pins.
                      Thanks,

In general that indicates a bad CPU or bent pins as the memory controller is on the CPU. We can support you with another motherboard but the odds of it being the culprit are lower than other possibilities.
                          Thanks,
