Thought I would say that my new EVGA X79 FTW build is done and has been running solid for a few days now. Just started putting a small overclock on it and it has been stable. I am still surprised at how fast my system is over my old Dell, '06, and even my HP laptop from '09. Board was good right out of the box and no errors except for not having the keyboard plugged in the first time for the BIOs screen.
My Build, Built and it Runs great so far and little troubles:
      CPU: Intel Core i7 3930K C2 Stepping
      Motherboard: EVGA X79 FTW
CPU Cooling: Corsair H80 Liquid Cooling
RAM: Patriot Division 4 Viper Extreme 16GB at 1866MHz
OS Hard Drive: Patriot Wildfire 120 GB SSD
      Storage/Gaming Hard Drive: Seagate 1.5TB
      Graphics: EVGA GT 240 512MB DDR5
      Monitor: Dell Ultrasharp 23"
Power Supply: Corsair AX 750 Watt
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue LED Version
      OS: Windows Ultimate 64 bit

I had a fair share of issues with my board at first but after resolving them and letting it settle I'm pretty impressed.

x79 is a fail platform, same graphics stutter issues as x58, if your a gamer you won't be impressed, if your just using your pc for video converting or somthing along these lines than you'll probly be happy with this platform

What "graphics stutter issues" are you referring to? I've had X79 since launch and have had zero issues. I also had X58 since launch and also had zero issues. Not to mention I've run every possible multi-card combination of 580s in SLI on both platforms and have never had and issues whatsoever. If you have had these issues with both X79 and X58,  maybe the problem lies somewhere else. Like maybe between your keyboard and chair.

Ya, I am not sure when people say vague statements like that what they are suppose to mean without more specifics. I never had any "graphics stutter issues" with X58 and 4-way GTX 580 SLI.

Seems like a troll comment to me. There are no issues with X79 as a platform. And certainly not with the tried and true X58. I have had a bunch of X58 rigs and now an X79 and never have any issues. When was the last time Intel put out a bad desktop platform? Oh yeah, that's right..uh ..never? At least not one that I can remember. Sure they have lower end chipsets, but they are still always solid.
