The components look great so far. Need to get some pictures up so we can see the build as you get them together and when it's done.

I'm asking for advice on parts, if I should purchase them or not. Since It's my first rig I'm a little lost on this stuff. Also just for a side note I already have a hard drive,as well plan on getting the CPU cooler from cosair. (y) thank you very much for the feed back.

If the rig will for primarily gaming, save yourself 100 bucks on the CPU and get the i5 2500K instead of the 2600K, pocket the 100 bucks or put it towards a little bit better GPU(560 classy ultra or even a 570). Go ahead and spend a couple extra bucks and get these http://www.newegg.com/Pro...x?Item=N82E16820231314 much faster and look just a tad better.  Other than that everything else looks good, great choice on case, very popular and works very well.  GREAT motherboard, if you have any desire to go SLI in the future you might want to check out an AX850 http://www.newegg.com/Pro...x?Item=N82E16817139015 its not a must have but it will give you some head room for future upgrades or build.  Let us know if you need any more help!

First I would have to agree with Kane. The 2600K is awesome, but the 2500K for the price difference is just as good. That will save you $100.00 right there. On the Motherboard, I am not sure that you really need that board for your first build. You could get a decent EVGA motherboard for far less saving you another $100.00. Drop the 560(250.00,) add another 50.00 and get a 560 Ti 2win.

Just my suggestion, also don't forget to look at CPU coolers for your rig.

or get the 560 448 cores GPU too.

If it is a gaming rig only, you should go with the 2500k

I dont know if its just me but i cant stand the 2500k, i mean ill admit is performs amzingly for the price and is an amazing chip but just something about the nameI5 2500k just is not appealing to me. I have no idea why, thats just how i am. For me 2600k FTW! But it depends how much the op wants to spend. If hes got the cash to spend i would by the 2600k if on somewhat of a budget id buy the 2500k

i know microcenter had a deal on the 2600k and offer a $50 rebate for buying the motherboard and cpu together... i think with my rig we saved nearly $200 with the the combo compared to other sites... and since they have a store not far away from where i live it was also convenient to get...

i like the 560 it's what i actually switched from my first choice which was a gtx580 3gb.... i ended up getting 2x gtx560 ti 448 cores for sli... i would maybe go with the 448 core...

i also ended up getting the hx850 psu... going from what i've read and seen posted, i have more than enough power for my current needs and should be able to have extra power when i start doing upgrades like leds...

not sure of your budget or if you have plans for future upgrades but you might want to consider this before purchasing some of this stuff... a lot of good advice has been posted already...

I know a lot of people say 2500k over 2600k when it comes to gaming but, what do you plan on doing with your rig besides gaming...?

thanks for the advice so far, but what i mostly plan on using this rig is gaming, editing, and modding/programming  thanks again for all your input.

The only thing I would do, is get at leat 1600 memory instead of the 1066 you picked.
I KNOW it cost more, but you will be happy you did.

I would look into the newly price dropped 480s which you can find for around $220 and will crush a 560.
