GeForce GTX 560Ti not being detected by the motherboard whatsoever Tuesday, February 28, 2012 5:45 PM (permalink)
I've recently built my own computer (first time builder), When I installed all the parts, windows, etc, it doesn't detect my graphic card. I've disabled the integrated intel 3000 graphics card before I installed, The fan is on and spinning but no graphics card was detected. I'm really irritated with this situation, eveything is working fine except for the graphics card. I've also checked the bios and enabled the PCIe slot, so that wasn't the problem. Please help!

Thanks

This may seem like a dumb question, but the power is connected correct? Also if you use the onboard graphics the machine can boot?

Could we have your system configuration too, just in case something else is interfering?  Also, is your monitor connected to the mainboard or graphics card?
How CPU watts relate to degrees? - How can overclocking affect CPU lifespan? - TEC/Peltier definitions, formulas and temperature estimations

For Intel processors, 0.123 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].  This includes around 30% overhead, so it isn't minimum for operation.  TDP is not actual per CPU, it is a range for multiple processors to qualify for the same OEM cooler and power rating, and allows Intel to debut future processors in the same TDP.

        Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @3,30 GHz
        RAM: 8 GB
        Motherboard: ECS H67H2-M
        Monitor: eMachines E19T6W

If I connect my monitor to the graphics card, I get a black screen. My friend said it might be DOA.
