I just got this dumped on me, and told by the sales rep to have it ready by lunch.
it's 9.30am here, lunch is at 12.30. I so don't think so.
Not sure who is the bigger fool, the sales rep or the customer. Had to call him as he chosen the wrong ram (and idiot sales rep didn't catch it) and
'yeah man, it's gonna be my gaming rig'

sorry for the blacked out bits, can't have my name/workplace etc up here. anyway, with warranty and assembly , this thing is going to cost him almost 6k and will be ready by lunch tomorrow. maybe.

actually Brad it 's 10%
you notice how the 1st and 3rd columns match?
(yeah dumb system we have)
1st and 3rd columns are total price
2nd column is the GST component.

take total price divide by 11 then multiply by 10 to get pre-tax price.

I have no idea what out cost price & markup are; that's for the bosses to know. though they are kind enough to give us a whole 5% employee discount

Additionally, I hate setting up RAID and shoehorning a H100 into this case with push/pull was an unpleasant experience.

I thought about telling him he could get just as good a gaming experience from a machine half the price. Buy it's his money and e-peen factor, apart from a couple of things it's like he went through our stocklist and just selected the most expensive of everything!

Now, now... Were we any different when we started out? There are many folks that lack the hands-on tinkering and part replacement skills to assemble a PC. Easy as it is, there is a large "confidence hurdle" that most have to overcome. At least this guy is learning (or starting to, at any rate) to pick and choose his own parts. It's a step on the right path.

Humm. maybe i am missing something but what is wrong with the ram? its a 4x4 DDR3 kit and he is using a 2011 socket.

what bugs me is i do not see a motherboard on that list xD
