Has anybody tried folding on the new Nvidia drivers 295.73?

Just wondering if the change in drivers will result in an increase in ppd. Has anybody tried them?

All seems well, But I made the swith an hour ago, so no news on any change. Update seem to be having issues would NOT recomend the update. Point decrese, GPU's stoping or staying at zero.

any word on the GPU kernel crashing and recovering problem? It would be very nice indeed if this Driver fixed that issue.

i am seeing an increase of aprox 10k ppd on smp16 and 3 gpu's running the new drivers. of course it could just be related to diferant wu and such. this is using fah v7 before and after.

Yea the new 803X WUs are awesome, I'm up about 4k ppd (15k ppd per 460) on each one of my 460s because of them. So I doubt the increase you're seeing is because of the new Nvidia driver.

I went with the 295.xx beta's strictly because the 285.xx broke my movie editor software. It really made me mad that nobody put the connection together. But that is moot. I have noticed zero speed gains from 295.xx in folding but it fixed a serious load of problems for me and I hope they get it out of beta quickly. (As I type this the nvidia driver update software notifies me of an update \o/ )

OT6889 Having a problem with them the same as i did witht he beta It completes a unit then fails to grab another - closes down I'm not they only one either. http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?high=&m=1444975&mpage=1#1466471 gone back to the 290's Hopefully you're using the tracker, because if you are, what needs doing is a fresh install of FAH GPU Tracker V2, it has an unexplained bug in it that stops the clients. Only had to reinstall it twice now over 4 computers, its a rare one but it does happen from time to time. If you dont feel like re-entering in all your config details just copy paste your config file from the config folder.

KMoore, you are probably getting those 803x WU's. They run much, MUCH slower and take almost 2x longer. There is currently a bonus for running them. This morning I woke to a new record for me of 60k for a single day.

ye much hotter too! also it managed to start a new WU and is still going, 1 thing I did change or really what I didn't let my PC do was go into AI Nap mode (ASUS Power Saving thing), gonna leave it running through the night in its normal P state and see if it continues to start new WU's without manually restarting. Still annoying though as have ran it the last 12-14 months in and out of AI Nap mode without problems and then the last beta and this WHQL breaks it with some P State detection bug thing.
