285.38 drivers Monday, February 20, 2012 1:36 PM (permalink)
Nvidia support have told me that i should install these drivers as i have crashing issues with all 290 and above beta's. My current 285.79 are not 100% crash proof either, i was wondering how does skyrim perform on these drivers. 290 beta's and above it performed like crap, they even informed me that all new drivers are not great in skyrim, makes me wonder why don't they fix the issues rather than kepp releasing more drivers that don't.

i would wonder how close your cutting it with a OC on the I7 to 4.2 and SLI 460's along with all other bells and whistles(H20,fans etc) that are drawing off that little Seasonic 650 (not known as a strong or quality PSU)

      1+

Now I'm not saying it's not quality. SeaSonic makes great PSU's, I can't speak for the 650w though. But yeah, wow that is so borderline for OC'ing.

hmm, you may be right, how would this contribute to driver crashes then?, and i guess i should upgrade my psu regardless.

It's not horrible but it's based on an old design. When it gets close to full load it's going to be putting out a hell of a lot of ripple. he deff should get something beefier

You have to reset mobo and memory to manufacturers settings to default then try oc again. Seems too much for a 460.

I have tried default clocks on both gpu and cpu, drivers still crash. I may go back to a 570, i never had driver issues with that.
