Pretty sure it's been posted, but whatever. I guess a mod will lock it, if needed.

If you cannot get the job done with 96Gb of RAM, you're doing it wrong.

They said it was not possible with how the board is laid out months and months ago. IMO it looks fine the way it is.

I like stuff symmetrical, so I understand how you feel :) Aside from the non-matching amount of RAM slots I think it looks really nice :D

I agree that the SR-X is not as pretty as the SR-2. I am also going to pass, but only because I have so much invested in my SR-2 system. I would say, if someone were looking to buy a fully decked out dual CPU board, they should look to buy the SR-X for its slight advantages (more USB 3.0, better SATA 6Gbs) and its thermal/electric performance.

I wouldn't call them slight advantages:
*The 2 SATA 6Gbps is native. (Perhaps minor to some.)
*You also get 8 SAS/SATA 6Gbps native as well. (Major.)
*Dual Intel Gigabit instead of Marvell. (Perhaps minor to some.)
*Pure Passive Heatsink Design thanks to the northbridge now being a part of the CPU. (Minor.)
*Support for Intel's latest CPUs which are superior to the last generation in performance/clock/core and feature up to 10 cores for the Ivy Bridge version, 8 core for the Sandy Bridge version instead of the 6 cores the last generation provided. Also, there is native PCIe 3.0 support, providing much better connectivity to next generation GPUs (Very Major!)
