Wrinvet and his team were losing. He hates MAV’s and they were annoying him. He raged and kicked 3 of us while some of his team mates were use vile vulgar insults to other players.
The only reason I posted was that everything else was allow except whatever weapon that wrinvet deemed   that you cannot play with.

I think it is funny when I get MAVed as it is most always my fault. Not paying attention as to what around me or staying in one spot to long. They are very easy to shoot down.

I highly doubt he raged. I was in TS at the time, there was no rage. You were asked not to do something. Is it that hard to listen? Or are you that petty you need to get your KDR up. Don't attack wrinvert because he was doing what was best for the server. He conferred with others before making his decision. As for the killing off the server, it was damn near 3am, it always dies out around then. Your only purpose here was to pout and get someone in trouble. For that, I think you need to rethink what is "Fair Gaming". Sitting back in a corner racking up the points is not fair gaming for anyone, and in the end only makes you look like a noob.

I'm hit...I have to disagree to the infinite degree with you. After hearing about all the talks on how to make the server popular, doing away with MAV killing is one of those ways. It comes down to what i told rob, you can't please everyone but you can please the majority. And if the majority don't like being killed by something that's not even meant to kill then i'm all for that. If there is ONE guy doing stupid stuff and annoying the other 20 or so, then that one guy has got to go. ESPECIALLY after being asked to stop. This is why EVGA's servers are not as popular as people would like them to be. You guys have to put up with the annoying ones and are not allowed to use your own judgement in an attempt to better the experience for everyone. I don't play on EVGA servers much, but I damn sure would not stand idle if Wrinvert was reprimanded because of one player too afraid to die...

Regardless, if a majority of the players don't like it (this is my opinion) Then it has to stop. I'm not ruining the popularity of my server because of one guy who can't run up to the front lines and play.

If an admin asks you to stop for 20 mins, then why would you keep doing it? Just to be a jerk? Seems really childish of you and I would have kicked you too. Dont think admin did anything wrong. If people are doing things like killing enemys jets at base/camping enemy base or other things that are clearly bush league and not how the game was ment to be played, and are giving a fair warning and they chose not to cooperate, they should be kicked. This map is a joke though and comes with all the spam and garbage so anyone who plays it shouldnt be expecting a serious game, just something to do for fun or change of pace.

I'm just going to say that these are assumptions.  Majority of what has been said here never happened and is going off personal feelings of what individuals think should happen.  I was monitoring the server at the time and can see what had been said by both teams and what actions were used.

One or two people does not constitute the majority of a 64 man server.  That wouldn't even get remotely close to a votekick if we had one.  Argue and debate me if you wish... But those are the facts and I will leave it at that.

They are opinions, and i'm proud of my opinions. But regardless of how many were against the thing that number outweighs the one using it. Period. Yeah these are EVGA's servers, fine, i'm just spouting my feelings of it.

Yes, it just a game, there plenty other servers to play on.

I was not present in the server at the time; therefore, I do not know the full truth behind the events that transpired.  However, if the player was kicked solely for his/her use of the MAV, then the Admin responsible for the action was in the wrong.  We all make errors, but this should remind all Admins to review, be aware of, and abide by EVGA's policies/rules regarding it's gaming servers.

Surely you cannot justify kicking a player (who is playing within the rules) by saying that it had to be done because other players were complaining. If this were the case, I should be kicked because of players complaining when I stab them!
Also, I notice that Carbon is a good folder for team EVGA, cut him some slack

i did give him a ton of slack, i put up with it for 20min and asked him many times politely to stop. he basically told me he didn't care what i asked and was going to continue doing what every he wanted. some times people need a power trip check and he got one. but hey ill pass this on to the higher ups and they can choose what action they want to take. if i get in trouble so be it as i am responsible for my own actions.

about the folding he does his 350k a month for evga bucks and stops. not saying that this has any relevance to this topic but you get what i'm saying. he could be family or a perfect stranger i would have acted the same.

This is just lame! I have to chime in. Admin wrinvert... Really?! If it's not stated somewhere that the MAV is forbidden on Metro, then you don't have the freedom to ban anyone based on the way the current server population wind blows. Rules can't just be made up and pulled out of the ether because the current server pop is whining. Where's teh consistency, where are the written rules of what "frowned upon"?

Come on man. Step up your game. Seriously! Man up! Tell the current server pop to "Can it!" Or talk with EVGA to rewrite the official server stipulations.

This is something I would not expect from an EVGA server. I vote to suspend and censure wrinvert for a few days at least.

You're right. He didn't ban him. Consider it a typo...or I misspoke albeit digitally...
 
But I stand by my claim. If he didn't violate...well anything, then it seems like something the admin should bring up with his overlords at a different time. Kicking the player just seems lame. Like he took his ball and went home. It can be written in the server rules that MAV raping on Metro will warrant some kicking in the pants and off the server.
 
But why not just shoot the stupid thing down? It shows up on your radar. Or create a mini custom objective with your squad and hunt down the nasty MAV-loving bastich? Well...unless he was out of range/bounds?
 
I have never been killed by the MAV. Every time I hear it overhead or see it on the radar. I shoot the thing down. It takes, like 2 shots from a revolver...I think. The thing is really a non-issue. Just, you know... Look up every now and then. Change your game up to address the perfectly permissible threat, which is indeed allowed and part of the game.

But but MAV riding was part of the game!....O ya they removed it when they noticed it was abused as glitching/unintended use,but road kills is ok ,until they fix it or make a statement they will never make about MAV road kills being not allowed as they cant fix it due to collision and air code already in place for other air flight items.EQUIPMENT<note  MAV is not called a TOOL! )
So since EA wont/cant fix it and of course wont make a statement towards it we are supposed to throw common sense to the side and believe a MAV could road kill and still be functional at 100% to continue its flight and recon duties ........ If someone says throwing rocks at someone is ok it doesn't make it RIGHT,you make a moral judgement and don't allow it as you know it is WRONG to do.

Well, since the strong are too busy trying to hold the enemy back, looking for a flying tinfoil hat is not only a waste of time, but should not even be consequential to whats going on. I shouldn't have to look out for a survailence device, I should only have to look out for grenades, other people shooting at me etc. Weak people use MAV's to rack up points because they are too afraid to move up and die.

It isnt like all these guys are all standing around camping they are trying to move up and actually play .
It's going to a moot point anyways as a strong rumor is that the MAV is getting nerfed from rides and killing next major patch so in the end common sense will win when admins and server owners cant man up and decide what is right and fair and enforce it till EA fixes it

I'll leave it up to EVGA to decide how they want us to handle issues like this. I think we should have the option to remove a player if it will keep ppl playing longer on the servers. The problem is making sure no one abuses it to get rid of someone they don't like.
 
Players use the mav to tick off the other team, they know not everyone pays attention to whats flying above them on ground maps. all the explosive spam its easy to forget to keep an eye out for the mav.
 
I think DICE should allow servers to restrict explosives (RPG's, M320) and using mav to roadkill on maps like metro that don't have any vehicles, it would improve gameplay.

Wrong maybe you should look at other MAVer stats, not afraid to move up and die. I have 2287 knifing and have been kicked, band on other servers because players and admins getting knifed start crying.

fyi i passed this on to the powers that be and i took my hit like a man for "doing wrong by evga/ea policy." i still stand by my choices wether you agree with me or not. for those of you that have stood with me thank you, for those that are not thats your choice. i guess we can argue the merits of mav killing all night and not get anywhere.
 
so i still say carbon was trolling (killing for 20min with the mav and even having a clan member join to do the same thing) and after 4 years being a forum member made his 1st post to complain about being punished for doing so. i have no respect for people like this. but i will do what is right by the rules and allow it from now on.
 
so that being said i will find myself another server to play on since yet again in this society 1 will ruin it for many and win. i thought we were better then this and felt i could finally make a difference in this world, guess i was wrong.

this discussion is getting absurd. Kicking him on the fly based on the whim of some in the server is not ok if he is not violating the stated server rules.
 
Whether mass MAV killing is cool or permissible or douchey or a hindrance is not the issue. The admin should have brought up the complaints of the community to his evil overlords and then hashed out a game plan for the future. And I say this based on the fact that no server rules around this were set.
 
I think the MAV is hilarious. I don't use it. I have never been killed by it. But I think its a fun piece of equipment. I respect those who can fly the thing with competence, because that takes skill. Even on Metro, it does!

Ultimately an utilitarian decision around this needs to be hashed out and put into effect. Otherwise the server climate is too inconsistent. If it's based on the complaints of the players, then that is bound to change as the group of players change, leaving a completely inconsistent gaming experience, especially if we're talking about what's allowed in the game.
 
Finally DICE never stated they would nerf MAV road kills. They only acknowledged that nimbus riding would be addressed in some way.

Let me tell you something... The only reason I am here commenting, is because EVGA asked me for my opinion and to look into this, as I'm sure they did with other content contributors. So I did.

my point is you really dont know me at all and screamed for my head on a pike for 1 minor issue that you yourself had no part of. i get it that you write for the gaming page thats cool and you can say what ever you would like about me there. my point is you have never talked with me on TS or do i ever recall playing on a server with you and your basing you entire outlook of me off of comments here and someone elses account of the event.
