EPower Board

I saw this on EVGA's Facebook page. Does anyone know any details about it? Just curious as to how one would hook it up. I see solder pads, but they aren't really labelled. I'm tempted to get one and just mess around with it, but I'd like to see some documentation first before I drop that much cash

EPower board is covered by DOA warranty only. Use of this product will void your graphics or motherboard warranty. K|ngP|n and TiN are the ones who created it. So if you get one, would have to ask them, not sure if they would help you wire it though.

I'm not planning to use it with my rig, more for a power supply for a motor assembly (school project)

Adam2013, it will be probably not best idea to use Epower for motor assembly, because it's designed to power high-power high-density chips, like GPU/CPU, not some inductive loading. p.s. btw, will be right to say that EVGA created it ;)

TiN do you know whether the EPower Board will also be available in EVGA Europe? Currently it's only listed on EVGA US

Always wondered Jacob, why is there an empty 6 pin solder point? Can another be added?

EVGA_JacobF Also make sure to check out the manual http://www.evga.com/produ.s/pdf/100-UT-0400-BR.pdf TiN_EE Adam2013, it will be probably not best idea to use Epower for motor assembly, because it's designed to power high-power high-density chips, like GPU/CPU, not some inductive loading. p.s. btw, will be right to say that EVGA created it ;) Thank you both of you! Looks like it won't work for me then, but with the results chiller has been getting, this will have a lot of potential users I think. Great product imo

It's a great product, but I wouldn't get it unless you're on at least DICE.

you need to be able to solder its not a plug-n-play you must be able to solder and be able to make it secure so that it doesnt come off unless you have solder a kit before sussesfuly dont risk it

It's actually not as tricky as it looks, just augment it where your stock chokes and voltage inputs go; it's just a large, clean, current producing powerhouse... This being said, once it's on the tricky part is now what to do with that type of power (equally powerful cooling, VMOD's to board components, etc.) >=) You can ghetto fab some of this on your own on any board, but this prebuilt really would save a lot of time if you just want to get things moving quickly. Big kudos to EVGA for creating this and offering it to the general populous though, most vendors wouldn't provide such items; it's a very progressive move...

Good morning I'm the administrator of the Italian portal the-overclock-hole.it We review this product and we must say, notwithstanding the difficulty of its use, that the product is very good. So much to take a silver medal. We are doing more tests, being a very special product. the link to the review, in Italian: Kind regards Diego Borio Admin the-overclock-hole.it
