Can i open up my GTX295 black casing without destroying anything? I want to check inside if there is dust hiding there.

yes you can you'll need thermal paste, and #0 and #00 phylips head screwdrivers to do it properly.

RBIEZE yes you can you'll need thermal paste, and #0 and #00 phylips head screwdrivers to do it properly. If i just open it up with screwdrivers, do i still need to replace the thermal paste?

Here is the guide I followed about 2 years ago when I had them. http://nvidiagtx295.blogspot.com/ I'm at work and I don't know if the pictures just don't work or if they are being blocked here or something.

markistheone Here is the guide I followed about 2 years ago when I had them. http://nvidiagtx295.blogspot.com/ I'm at work and I don't know if the pictures just don't work or if they are being blocked here or something. +1 on the linked guide above. I used this a year ago when cleaning up a couple of 295s. The only PITA of the process was getting the 2 PCBs re-sandwiched w/ the tiny "SLI" connector remaining attached. 295s are famous for excess heat production caused by dust build-up in the "gills".
