Grrrrr. I *like* Windows 7. MICROSOFT - Y U NO KEEP THINGS SAME?? (Yes, yes obviously it's the next thing...well, maybe not 'obviously'. I skipped Win Me, and only had Vista on a few HTPC/media PC/mobile/etc devices...never my main box. Still...this just seems *rushed*. What's the 'killer app/feature/casus belli' for it?)

I'm going to make a partition on my Platter drives just to give it a spin, but I have a feeling I will be with Win7 for years to come.

i'll probably be sticking to win7 as well. windows 8 looks like a transition OS, just like windows Vista.

If it is a full beta I will have it on day one, anything else nope, sorry. Just waiting for it to hit technet so we can see what we got.

I can see trying it out, with a backup image of my current Windows 7 setup ready to restore when I see how bad the idea to make a phone OS into a PC OS was implemented.

I don't care what they call it as long as it's good.  I think Microsoft has an evil plan. 8 is going to have a rough start like Vista and Windows 9 will kickbutt like Windows 7. They like playing with our emotions.
