      Grrrrr.

      I *like* Windows 7.  MICROSOFT - Y U NO KEEP THINGS SAME??

(Yes, yes obviously it's the next thing...well, maybe not 'obviously'.  I skipped Win Me, and only had Vista on a few HTPC/media PC/mobile/etc devices...never my main box.  Still...this just seems *rushed*.  What's the 'killer app/feature/casus belli' for it?)

        Thanks for the link rjohnson11.
I did not like the preview that was released several months ago. So I am hoping the late February "consumer preview" is more to my liking.

I'm going to make a partition on my Platter drives just to give it a spin, but I have a feeling I will be with Win7 for years to come.

i'll probably be sticking to win7 as well.
windows 8 looks like a transition OS, just like windows Vista.

I can see trying it out, with a backup image of my current Windows 7 setup ready to restore when I see how bad the idea to make a phone OS into a PC OS was implemented.

I don't care what they call it as long as it's good. I think Microsoft has an evil plan. 8 is going to have a rough start like Vista and Windows 9 will kickbutt like Windows 7. They like playing with our emotions.
