No SLi connector!?

What's up with not including an SLi bridge with high end cards (or any sli ready card)? I bought 2 580 Classy ultras and neither had an SLi bridge included. When i bought my 260s and then 285s they both came with one. All i got with the 580 classified ultras was a lame poster...... To top it off i try to order one from the EVGA store but they will not ship to PO boxs....... Really awesome for military folks. I've been looking around online and the only ones i seem to be able to find are the really hideous brown ones. Anybody got a good site that delivers to PO box and has the black flexible SLI bridge?

No NVIDIA graphics card comes with SLI bridges, no matter if its EVGA or not. The motherboard decides if its SLI capable which is different from XFire because XFire only cares that there is a minimum of PCIE4x slots. SLI requires not only a minimum of 8x slots, but it also requires a special bit of code in the motherboard bios to unlock the SLI capability (licensing for SLI from NVIDIA). To prevent users of non-SLI motherboards for becoming frustrated, the bridges are included with the motherboard, not the graphics card.

Doubles thanks but that still doesn't help. What would you like? EVGA to ship you an SLI bridge or two just because you bought the highend card? Check the "this package contains" on the GPUs box and you will see that it does not come with SLI bridges. Then I would suggest contacting your MB manufacture to get some bridges.

But in the store it says you guys don't ship to PO boxs which is my problem. I only have a PO box. hopkinsbrett Yeah, I understand why they come with the MB, but it can be a bit frustrating if your a noob and didn't keep it. I agree. I think the high end cards should come with an SLI bridge. I was upset when I received my second 580 to sli, found out it didnt come with an SLI bridge. I thought I would have had to order one but, Luckily I had one that came with my z68 board.

kody7839 I could have sworn there was a thread where someone ordered this bridge but they got a brown one instead. It was then said that the color could not be guaranteed even if the picture shows a black one. I hope that's not the case! Those brown ones are beyond horrible looking.

I love it when companies recite policy or a rule in response to a customer concern. It would have been more pleasant to forward a link to buy one. I bought a fist full selection off of eBay just to keep in the bin. But now that it is policy and there are folks spending a lot of money to buy premium product, they should expect more? I'll tell all right now, if I buy a 2012 Limited edition car, my butt better be warm in the winter. Even McDonald's will give you a free glass of water, for now. Excuse me Doubles, how much did you pay? In closing I just want to add I am a EVGA/Nvidia fanboy. I think the company is pretty cool and the folks, like Matthew are friendly and helpful. I've even had problems and had many EVGA folks step up an help solve, personally. But I have no respect for policy makers that feed rules down the pike with no feedback loop. As cheap as the bridges are to manufacture, and I know, they should be given out like paper napkins, to folks spending hundreds of dollars. Imagine paying $1500 for a set of cards and having to scrounge for a bridge.

Imagine paying $1500 for a set of cards and having to scrounge for a bridge. But if they were shipped with the card, and a customer bought a old Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P motherboard expecting to be able to support SLI, they would be disappointed and frustrated/angry. (GigaByte now has put out a bios update to support it, but it was not there originally). Is it not easier for NVidia to just have their MB partners include the bridge on boards that actually support SLI to prevent those issues?

it was my fault for not realizing they didn't come with cards i admit. it's been several years since i bought my last setup and i mistakingly thought they came with the cards when they did actually come with the mobo. The most frustrating part is how hard it is to find one. EVGA seems to be the only place with the black ones. There's no way i'm putting that doodoo colored POS bridge in my purty system.

I ended up ordering from performance pc. They will ship to PO Boxs but they just can't ship via UPS (i guess it's a ups thing) I looked all over before i ordered and it said nothing about the chance of it being different than the picture. if they send me a brown one i'll send them a flamming bag of dog crap.

the solid ones are nice but due to slot spacing they may not work with all boards, thats why we have the flexible brown ones, and yes they are ugly but you can paint them with any paint that does not include metal flake in it.
