I plan to continue on with these ones: Einstein@Home LHC@Home SIXTRACK LHC@Home 2.0 Test4Theory World Community Grid Yoyo@Home I'd like to setup a Seti rig as well but I'm not sure on the hardware yet. It looks like the GTX 590s are the most optimal choice for this project but those cards draw a lot of power. I also would like to get an ATI card at some point. Albert@Home, which is Einstein's test project now has an ATI OpenCL app.

I'm starting out with WCG, and as I learn more about the other projects, and as challenges come out that I want to support, I will probably branch out. However, I do have a preference for medical projects over mathematical and astronomical work.

I'll probably just stick with WCG for the time being. I may branch out later, but I kind of like how WCG lets me choose different projects I want to crunch on depending on my mood. If I had to choose now though, I'd probably say SETI would be something I would look into for the future.

WCG but the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) project looks really cool. Physics rocks my socks off!

chrisj4040 WCG but the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) project looks really cool. Physics rocks my socks off! Here is a link to both projects: http://lhcathome.web.cern.ch/LHCathome/ Test4Theory will need Virtualbox to run and SIXTRACK can run natively via BOINC.

Updated.... trying to catch up on double and iterated integrals.... Still have a final in linear algebra and doing up the math for a paper in the same class to finish up so I'll most likely not be able to do too much with this until Monday or so....

I've started running Seti again via one of my GPUs. The downloads are sporadic and as a result, the GPU is idle some of the time.

Started way back in '05. One of the reasons I stopped was because of the infrequent downloads. Nice to see nothing has changed in 3 years... I think Stanfords servers are involved......
