I've not seen the new ones but I have had a bunch of evga boards and haven't seen jumpers for a while.

At least on the classy and ftw (x58 and x79) there are cmos reset both on the board and on the back panel near the usb ports.  So no jumpers, just push the on-board button or the back button (really convenient) and voila.

Belive it or not, I am upgrading from a old 630i.....

Been solid and overclocked to 2.98 GHz....

Several years ago I put in a PCI graphics card, it plays a fairly respectable game of Crysis...

    Oh well.....I'll figure something out...

How about a pair of pins in the connector for the EVGA panels ????

I think of the mobo pins for the EVGA Control Panel... but I don't know which pins it might be...

Meant to ask why you need it?

There's a button on the outside of the case now so why do you need the remote?
Wasn't the point of that to let you clear CMOS without having to open the case up?

It is expensive.  But it's no more expensive than usual for these type of boards.

                Fair question....

And to answer another question, yes it may also be a project with a little unforeseen cost added to it, but really if you want something truly unique, it can not be purchased, it must be created....

A little background....I work from my my home office and spend a lot of time at my desk.  So, I decided to make a unique piece of furniture to make the time a bit more comfortable and even fun.....

When I say my system is wired with an external panel, it is because I have basically gutted a rack mounted case and pulled all the electronics with user interfaces out the back and I am now mounting said electronics into a video editing desk....

I have some photos posted in another thread around here somewhere.....and may post more on the mods rigs once I am a bit further along with the project.

The fact that these boards no longer support the old fashioned jumpers does not deter me, it only brings out the creative side....like a one shot with a solonoid mounted in the box over the CMOS reset button....see...you can overcome anything with a bit of thought....

                Have fun guys - Later

Hi, installing my empty wallet to de motherboard
and the revo hybrid is the same, they are both invisible  to de BIOS.
Believe me there are Big issues!!, now, nobody knows how to fix that. I have
tested the revodrive hybrid in other computers and it is perfect.
                          I will appreciate any help.
                        Thanks.

I'm really disappointed in EVGA's offering for the X79 chipset. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to go with a competitor's X79 board instead. I won't name that competitor (not sure what policies are here?), but I will say that the competitor's board is more expensive than EVGA's Classified, so that zeros in on what I'm talking about.

EVGA, if you're at all interested why I made this choice:
                              1. Classified has only 4 memory slots for 32GB max (competitor has 8 for 64GB max). Quad-channel 64GB for $700 these days is very tempting since it opens up the possibility of a big RAM drive to cache/map entire game clients. 32GB for whatever game you cache, 32GB for system memory.
                              2. Classified only has 2 SATA-6 ports (competitor has 4). This is extremely important to me for RAID 0 configs.
                              3. Classified puts their PCI-Express 1x slot right at the first PCI-Express 16x slot, which means a dual or triple slot video card will block it (competitor puts theirs near the last slot). Very important for PCI Express sound cards so as not to dip into the 16x/16x/8x config.
                              4. No Limited Lifetime warranty anymore. That used to set you apart. Now you're just 3 years like the rest. There's no incentive to keep buying EVGA products.
I'm a little sad over this because I've been a loyal EVGA fan for some time. I've owned two EVGa 680i motherboards, an EVGA X58 SLI 3-way motherboard, an EVGA GTX 295 Co-Op card, two EVGA 8800 GTX cards, and multiple other mid and low end products. I'm going to be breaking out into your main competitors' motherboards because of these changes. It's not a threat or some sort of whining rant, just some feedback from one of your customers. Thanks for reading.

EDIT: Of course I'm still a fan of your video cards and will continue to buy them exclusively from you.

I'll offer some rebuttal to your post:

1: Having more than four memory slots puts additional strain on the memory controller inside the CPU so with 4 slots as opposed to 8 should give you higher overclocking potential.

2: The competitor uses a third party solution for additional ports and this solution doesn't always work to its full potential. I've seen this in other motherboards. Having native port support is the best and preferred choice.

3: 3 years is a long time for a motherboard warranty and you'll be taken care of during that time if something ever goes amiss.

Shouldn't that be a decision left to the users? If they want higher overclocking potential they can use one bank. If they only want moderate or less overclocking they can use both. I can tell you right here and now that the performance gains of having 32GB of a RAM drive with 32GB for system memory far outweighs some high-end diminishing returns of extreme overclocking.

"Doesn't always work to its full potential"? ASUS's Rampage has four 6Gb/s SATA ports and if you used all four ports for SSDs, you'd get the full 6Gb/s out of them. ASUS has stated however that it won't add more than four for the same reason you're stating it. Someone is BSing a little. Please elaborate on this vague statement. Or better yet, feel free to tell me why a RAID controller with eight 6Gb/s SATA ports won't live up to its full potential? A manufacturer could easily integrate a low-end RAID controller into a motherboard and use its own dedicate PCI Express lanes if it was really desired.

Correct, according to this, they are 16x, 8x, 8x in triple-SLI mode. It's sad because the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79 board can do 16x, 8x, 16x in triple SLI.

Stupid question - There is a sticker on the mobo above the PCI slot can you remove that sticker?  My Brother told me no but it sticks out in pictures and I was wondering if it could be removed

Stupid question - There is a sticker on the mobo above the PCI slot can you remove that sticker?  My Brother told me no but it sticks out in pictures and I was wondering if it could be removed

Can you post a pic of the sticker in question?

Not enough room on the FTW to put it on the board I guess so you can see where they put it here.  There is also one on the back of the board as well.

I guess this may be a dumb question but how about removing the stickers from the Marvell NIC's

I read a lot here .... and the problems with the Board!
Usb 3.0 problems, RAM problems, CPU problems!= Not good!

There is in me to ask if the motherboard is the ever mature?

If the current Board now supports the CPU i7-3820?
