NEGATIVE POINTS!!! AHHH!! OMG!!! Look here.

Remain calm. They will be back automatically. There is no need to contact us as we simply received a bum file from Stanford and it will be fixed in 24 hours or less. Please point anyone to this post that inquires about it. edit - title updated to bring attention to the attentionless.

And, as Shane already knows, if there IS a problem that needs to be fixed sooner than 24 hrs, I am keeping an hourly backup of our team stats (Long term project - one I REALLY need to get my butt back on!) that he can use in an emergency. So, we have things under control on multiple fronts.

I would wait the 24 hours, but this is the deadline today. Just note that I posted. I had 335K this morning and now it shows -318K. This will be my first 350K month if I made it. Will finish sooner next month, my bad.

Don't worry, I wasn't complaining, just posted to notify, kinda new to folding and was just setting myself goals and checked it and it was weird. Not gonna complain over evga bucks, I'm too old to stress over it.

Glad this is stickied. I was checking in on my progress for the month and saw that I was at -1,786,129. First I wondered how I folded that much in a single month and second I wondered how it was negative. But with Shane on the job I'm not worried. Although I am now curious if it's possible to unfold proteins to get negative points... might be fun to sabotage the opposing teams on the next Chimp Challenge or something. (I kid of course, we fold for science not for points!)

I don't know the answer to that question - perhaps make your own post in the help section instead of posting off topic here. You'll have your answer in no time... or you could google it... While we're being snarky, I'm not sure there were any folding experts among the regulars in chat... so you probably wouldn't have your answer.

DAVE2HOT4U Shane do you have to be online to fold ? Could you download the data to be folded and then do it at home on a offline computer ? Getting on the forums is retarded if chat was still up I could have had my answer by Now . PM me if you have the answer Yes you can. Problem is this with F@H... Most WU (Work units) only take 2-6 hours each. So it would only do one job and sit waiting for another as it needs to communicate with the servers to deliver work and receive new work. Now a few WU's are longer, but you cannot pick and choose what you get. You get what the server sends you, regardless of it being CPU or GPU work (In general per system specs). Not only that, but most of F@H is time sensitive and requires the WU back rather quickly in order to even get full or partial points earned for doing the work... Now that said... some of us that "Also" Crunch do what you are looking to do with other projects. Many allow us 5-7 days and we can load up as many days as we want... To then pull offline, do the work, and re-connect the next week to download the completed work, and get new work... http://www.evga.com/forums/tt.aspx?forumid=79
