well, the ceo of activision is a complete tool in every way possible. he exploits the spirit, culture and fun of gaming for money. its quite sad. he might be the reason for the MW2 dedicated server issue. all he cares about is sales. he likes commoditizing games like guitar hero so they can charge an assload for a bunch of plastic toys. no $50 games from activion anymore. gtfo bobby kotick

It only makes sense if he makes more money than he spends. Think about it... they're a business. They want profitability, not good games.

Not a smart move on his part money-making wise. I realize that as a company, his end goal is to make loads of cash, but this move might really hurt him, especially with the boycott. Think about this: All it takes is for one PC user to get a hold of the game, and the Scene will crack it from here until tomorrow. They'll crack the single player, online multiplayer, you name it, they'll do it. Given that, I'm going to put forward a bold prediction of 250,000 pirated copies of the game being distributed over the internet, with motivation to continue doing so unless Activision changes their tune.

I take their strip mining of this series as a sign they really don't care if they ever make another PC release. If the sales are poor, widespreaed piracy, that will just be their excuse to release strictly to console. On that note, I wont buy it for console either and already discourage anyone that mentions the game from purchasing it.

I've been leaving fliers at my local game stores to get the word out lol, hopefully PC sales tank and it put's some kind of dent into console sales. I doubt many console players care for us PC gamers though :(

I will not be purchasing this game period. It might even be a good game. Doesn't matter, like Spore this has failsauce written all over it.

There's also this: http://arstechnica.com/ga...e-than-you-thought.ars Hugely disappointing that they aren't tapping the resources of the PC modding community and the power that some PCs have. Graphically, this game looks like such a disappointment, and the power of the PC to process more connections than any console is going unnoticed. Not only that, the restriction of fan-related content is definitely awful.

Maybe they don't want console users switching to gaming on the PC, if that happened they couldn't milk them like they can on the console. We all know every multiplayer first person shooter is 100x better on dedicated servers.

I have a feeling that this will go one of two ways. Activision will eventully cut the PC gamer some slack (unlikely) OR this will be the last COD that we see on PC (likely)

Well Call of duty WAW sucked. The best part of that game was Nazi zombies. It was the best. MW2 will be lucky enough if i even rent it. More than likely borrow it off of some friend.

I loved WAW. It took everything COD 4 was and improved upon it. I think most people dont like it because it is WWII, but I personally love it.
