This is what I did to get the 3rd card to work. I have 4 VGA/DVI adapters and two spare VGA cables and ran the VGA cable (with the VGA/DVI adapters connected to each end) from plug 1 on card two to plug 1 on card three.. and Boom!! working.. One thing at a Time Do lots of research first . All the Folding On Multiple GPU's is On the archive forum.
If your using 191.07 drivers and your 260's are single , you can skip the dummy Plugs. If they are duals Like the gtx275's the dummys are necessary. The dummys are easy to make, after you get the 6+ resistors from radio shack you cab make them in 5-10 mins.
Keep us posted? /quote
Re:OK, I am back up and running!!! (Shift.Evolve)

If you have a DVI -> VGA adapter just grab some resistors and you can make an easy one.

THIS is the guide I used. I just put some hot glue on and around the resistors to make sure they stay in place incase I bump it. The 5 resistors only cost $1 at Radio Shack.
Re:OK, I am back up and running!!! (barnhartmd051977)

I did kinda like it running in SLI, but it was kinda funny... I had one GPU client open and it fired up GPU 1 & 2 to 3d mode and it started a 1888 it was doing 1% one min then 2% the next min, it alternated like that in 10 to 15 mins it was at 25% or more... But GPU 3 would not fire up...
Now i have SLI undone and using gpu 1 with my monitor, and gpu 2 with my tv and gpu just sitting there looking pretty as I have no dummy plugs

Re:OK, I am back up and running!!! With the 191.07 driver I have been able to run my two 9800 GX2's and three GTX 285's without dummy plugs WITH SLI enabled. If you have SLI disabled, you need dummy plugs. Just a note though, at least with my systems, there is a small loss of PPD when I fold with no dummy plugs and SLI enabled. More PPD with dummy plugs and SLI disabled.
Re:OK, I am back up and running!!!
