You guys are downclocking your memory for no good reason but I guess being stuck with an 8.5 multi forces some of you to do that. I would get some faster memory to make up for the low multi then use a divider that will run the memory at it's max rated speed. Linked and synked is a joke.

Re:780i q9550 pc2 8500 overclock (baby_ute)

3dmark06 is the worst reference to based on run games benchmarks is much more accurate. mark06 is very CPU dependent.
Re:780i q9550 pc2 8500 overclock (kevil99)

 " border="0" />

OCd 3.8!!!!

Re:780i q9550 pc2 8500 overclock (kevil99)

soon as i get this ill post new benchmarks :)

Re:780i q9550 pc2 8500 overclock (chevell)

With that memory and CPU I'd shoot for 3.775 GHz. To use the 6:5 divider set memory speed too 1066MHz Unlinked. QDR needs to be 1776 which is 444FSB. You will get much better bandwidth there compared to linked and synked. Other voltage adjustments will be needed to get stable but that will be the best possible divider to use with your memory.

Re:780i q9550 pc2 8500 overclock (kirisame)

Try to bump up your CPU to 3.8Ghz might help
Re:780i q9550 pc2 8500 overclock (cranium r)

atm im using 1826 on the fsb with a fsb voltage of 1.25v the cpu at 1.365v with no vdroop the mem is running linked and synced my gtlrf at .35mv on all 4 cores. as you can try to clock them up. ive had the best stability by doing a link and sync config
Re:780i q9550 pc2 8500 overclock (kevil99)

 gotcha!

???
