At the moment, I only have 2 ssds hooked up in the intel sata 3 ports. But what I want is to be able to use the raid card for those SSDs. I tried initially but the performance was worse than the built in intel sata 3 ports. I hope it's clear now. I have a RocketRAID RR2720sgl which doesn't perform as good as the intel sata 3 ports. Is this always the case and i wasted my 200 dollars or am I doing something wrong? I have two intel 520 240GB ssds hooked in for OS (75GB) and remaining for games! I plan to add one more ssd in that raid in future. Now, since the new boards come with only 2 SATA 3 ports by intel, it's not possible to do raid only on intel sata 3 ports once I have all (3) my ssd installed, that's why I bought the rocket raid card, it was cheap and had good reviews by thessdreview.com but my benchmark only gives my 98x,xxx Mbps max on most of the tests whereas in the thessdrevieww.com the figures were enormous upto 1 to 3gbps!! Is there any setup guide or something that I could follow??
