AA smooths out jaggies completely and provides a better visual picture.
Re:Adaptive vsync and FXAA (darkdhanil)

Thankyou timobkg thats what i wanted to know.
random_matt why you say that?
Re:Adaptive vsync and FXAA (random_matt)

FXAA to me is console crap
Re:Adaptive vsync and FXAA (timobkg)

 1) I think these are issues with Adaptive V-Sync. It's brand new, drivers are still beta, so I expect some hickups. I too have seen tearing during cinematics at well below 60fps (Borderlands comes to mind), and that might be an issue with the games themselves. It may also be due to SLI.

2) FXAA effectively applies a smoothing filter at the end over the rendered image, while traditional AA changes the rendered image. I would recommend disabling AA in the game, and just setting FXAA in the CP to have it apply to everything. But you won't hurt anything (aside from possibly your frame rate) by having AA turned on in the game, and also running FXAA on top of that.
Adaptive vsync and FXAA (darkdhanil)

Hello guys. I have some questions on this topic.
1-When i use Adaptive vsync i get better FPS and no tearing wile the game is at 60FPS but some game have the cinematics locked at 30 FPS and i get tearing in them, also some other heavy games i get 60fps most time but sometimes when a lot of explotions ect i get like around 45-55FPS and i get tearing there too. Is this an this issue or is Adaptive vsync like that?

2-How do i use FXAA? Do i disable any anti aliasing in the game config and then enable FXAA in Nvidia CP or do i enable it and then get anti aliasing on high in the game config?
