(HotRodPolk)

The 430 really isn't meant to be a gaming card, (neither is my 450, for that matter), but like yourself, I mostly play older games, and get good performance with some games. Others, such as Crysis 2 and the like, not so much. It really depends on the game, and the only way to ensure good performance in ALL games, is to spend $500 on a 680.
I've been pretty happy with the GTS450 I've been running since December 2010. All the racing games I play have playable framerates at the highest settings, even while running dual monitors. You could get a 550ti and more than double your current cards performance...
Re:About the GT 430 performance. (mtprimo)

Im playing Mount&Blade Warband, with everything on HIGH, 1920x1080 with 90 ~ 100 fps.

The one that gives me problem is TESIV:Oblivion, everything high and 1920x1080 with 35 ~45 fps. (with 1024x768 it keeps at 60 fps as it is limits).

I dont know why you say GT430 is lowly or terrible chocie because im running quite new games (skyrim, 1024x768, witoht AA) with an very very good fps (something like 55-60) and thats good for me, as my country does not pay its workers properly and i cannot consider the choice of having another videocard by the time being for the facts of houses debt. And so then, the GT430 is quite an satisfaction.

What i really would like to know if is there someway to make the GT430 have an better performance.
Re:About the GT 430 performance. (CraptacularOne)

What games are you playing that are giving you problems? And for what it's worth the GT430 is really a terrible choice for a gaming card. If you like to game, I'd suggest you try to pick up a GTX460 at the least, especially if you want to play at 1920x1080 with full settings. That is really not a realistic expectation from a lowly GT430 I'm afraid.
About the GT 430 performance. (mtprimo)

 Hello guys!

So, i have an GT 430 and I like to play games, yes, but they are some kind of old..(2008 and below). That said, I have been playing a game of 2007 with full graphics (192x1080,HDR,etc etc) and it reallys gives me no problem. But, a game of 2006 i just cant take the resolution to the max because it have a big framerate drop(everything on full, though). I mean, i dont need to play it at hi-res, but i wish i could, and im question is the following:

How i can improve my GT 430 performance with ALL games?

Btw, my computer specs is:

8GB ram
Intel Core 2Duo 2.93GHZ

Thank you and have a good day.
