I'm Building a new Computer and eagerly awaiting the NEX 1000w so I can start, Someone let me know when EVGA release's them

HAF XM - Fans: 4-200mm, 2-120mm, 1-140mm
EVGA Z77 FTW <--- I'm hearing bad things about this boards Bios and support so -Undecided-
Intel-3770K
CPU Heat sink - Undecided <-- Any ideas?
RAM - DDR3 1600 MHz 8GB Anything Low Profile to fit a CPU heat sink if necessary.
Intel 520 SSD 180GB
ASUS Blu-Ray Burner BW12B1ST
EVGA GTX 550Ti 448 Cores Classified Ultra
I already own the GPU Above and will plan to buy a Nvidia GTX 780 when it is released and probably go SLI down the road with NO Overclocking. I'm not an expert but I figure the system will be pulling anywhere from 700W to 800W maybe more depending on if the 780's are power hogs do you guys think the NEX 1000 would be sufficient for this build?

... thought it might be worth throwing in the ST-1500's from JG as well; since the member that referenced it, has one ...

More importantly - Congrats on your new NEX 1500 unit, & hope it lives up to expectations for you & everyone else ...
... would imagine many will be waiting on your evaluation of the unit; as well as the review from JG's bench ...

Well it seems a bit more sophisticated, a very cool software package, customization of rails etc. It seems very nice...but until we see a JG review, who knows.

The software package on the EVGA looks to be very nice indeed - will definitely want to see the reviews on that.
... bet we're all in store for some great things in the future coming from this feature - super job EVGA.

But agreed; at the current $449 price point, it needs to be a top shelf performer for sure ...
... would think that many of us will be watching for JG's Performance & Value ratings on this one - hopefully soon.
fwiw - the added expense of the IS cabling is not a plus for me at all - I'd just be braid sleeving over the whole IS mess ...
... it's both an aesthetic & air flow thing with me - but again, "to each his own" ...

Not sure what a numerical rating has to do with anything. It's 100 percent digital...which is what I meant by sophisticated. The ST-1500 was and is still a great item, but it's dated and there hasn't been a unit with that kind of power that can compete until this year. Lepa/Enermax has two units that probably are better choices than the ST-1500 that just appeared. Who knows about this one. It's in my rig right now and seems to be doing a great job. All we can do is wait for JG/Hardforum to get a review out.

Sleeved cables are $99.99 from Corsair, so for me honestly the $450 price doesn't seem too far off. Having tried to sleeve cables myself ... I will gladly pay a $100 premium for sleeved cables. From there, $350 for a 1500W, fully modular, digitally controlled PSU that looks as Boss as the EVGA unit AND features a 10 year warranty doesn't seem too bad to me.

Can't wait to see the reviews on it.

Speaking more of the Lepa G1600. It's highly rated, good power delivery and darn efficient (nearest NEX competitor IMO). You can get it for $280. Oklahoma Wolf really liked this PSU in his review. So, actually the NEX is more than $150 from its nearest competitor (Although I do think the NEX is better looking and has nice sleeved cables):

Indeed, and by comparing them as I did, I took that for granted. Both the Lepa 1600W AND the Enermax 1500W unit scored 9.5/9.6 respectively at Jonny Guru (can read there for the details). The EVGA will need to score at LEAST as good to justify the price. Personally, the sleeved cables are huge for me and I am willing to pay for it. However, 450 bucks is EXTREMELY expensive (100 dollars over those others).

Mine should be arriving tomorrow and I will load it up quite well, but nowhere near what the JG guys can. Hopefully we will see a review here in a week or two.

Agreed, however this is how I see it now: (I thought originally it would be around $400)

Newer 1500-1600W units (good ones) Lepa 1600W/Enermax Maxrevo 1500W are $328-350. The EVGA model has sleeved cables, which should add around another 50 bucks...which WOULD put us at 400 dollars. Well, apparently the software they provide is worth another 50 bucks? :)

People need to chill out. It's just a power supply; it's not like there aren't other quality psu options out there. Nobody should be put out by the delay.

they probably waiting on ul and ce certs. those guys are worse than the DMV. can take over 6 months some times, especially if something fails.(likely with the edge of the house wiring nature of this thing). but no matter what its bad planning on evga part.

*sighs* Not surprising in the least they go from the constant delays of their Sandy Bridge line to now delaying the release of their psu line for whatever untold reasons they have. Is this how the new EVGA intends to operate?

Ya, they put up this section of the forum months ago. They must have run into some sort of design or manufacturing problem that had to be rectified. That could take some time. Not sure when we will see this PSU.

Well, I'm not waiting anymore. I'm getting a Cooler Master 1500W. Might get an NEX later but not anytime soon with the disappointment of the CONSTANT delays on all EVGA products.

ordering one, once it shows up for sale on the euro page, the SR-X box is still not unwrapped anyway.. and with the speed I am going with this build, i seem to fit with the EVGA speed just fine, lol.

If you really want all EVGA system than wait few weeks.
When I want something really like Z77 FTW, Obsidian 650D,... I try hard to find that and wait patiently until show up.
Other talk "Why you wait few months with money in pocket you need that... than buy something else good".
No when I want something than I wait as needed. Because of that I love my PC more than all my friend love their.
Because every part inside (not all but almost, soon all parts would be just as I love) ...almost for everything
I was wait some time. Some very long, some less.
Because that I look my PC on dfifferent way than others.
And I wouldn't change my PC for Cosmos II and ASUS GTX690, no chance because I look different on this hobby and that's it.
