Since it's thinly coated usually, you'll have to have the ring re-coated a couple of times I'm sure.
Re:Looked at rings today with my Girlfriend. (RainStryke)

Well, congrats on the relationship. I just got married last year in June. We had been together for 2 years before I proposed. A local privately owned jewlery shop around my house makes custom rings. So I just asked her what she wanted and kinda made it around what she wanted, which happened to be pretty simple. We got married after 5 years.

When I went back to get the wedding band finished it had been a while, gold prices went sky high. Before I was wanting a white gold band, but after seeing that 900 dollar price tag, no thanks. Went with cobalt chrome for 70 dollars, looks great.
Re:Looked at rings today with my Girlfriend. That way you can still get all the benefits.

Also how is she fully okay with it? because it might be all nice and fun now, But when the time come will she still be wanting to stick around for marriage?

We wont need to in canada, thats the point. Were going to be living there anyways so were just going to get married there since gay marriage is legal there, plus it will make immigrating to canada MUCH easier because i'll legally be her wife.
I mean why is everyone so deadset on changing mine and my fiance's plans?

We already got it for the most part, figured out.

And isnt the point of marrying someone is to be their companion for the rest of their life? Thats what it means to us, and thats our plan.
Shes the one who asked me to marry her in the first place, so im pretty sure she wants to stick around.

Its because a big move and marriage are life changing events. And a lot of the time a life changing event can lead to a relationship and other things falling apart. I just have seen a lot of people and friends rush into marriage and have it fall apart not even a year later... They changed their life's for each other and found out they could not be happy living with that change.

I understand the concern, but her and I are still a long ways away from getting married as it is. we both have alot of real world stuff to deal with first.
Plus this is stuff were doing together to bond with one another, on a more personal and i guess romantical level. were trying to figure each other out and understand one another.
This is the farthest either of us have gon in a relationship, but fortunately shes a very responcible and careful individual, she just has a weakness about being alone and being without a singificant other in her life and according to her, im the best person she's ever met that fills her needs. She told me Im the only one other than her mother who is capable of making feel safe and loved.

Were not rushing into getting married, looking forward, planning, thats something we both do constantly, and were enjoying doing it together. we have at least a year 1/2, 2 years, and its possible if things dont go as planned for her with school it might even be as long as 3 years.

And me personally? shes the first relationship ive had where i havent been taken for granted and walked all over.
Everyone else ive been in a relationship has taken advantange of me or out right just left.
Re:Looked at rings today with my Girlfriend. Im also(no offence) not very happy with the laws and politics that are going on here in the US. Also gay marriage is legal in canada.
So if we get married in canada and were both legal citizens her legal benifits would carry over to me as well.

So really its the best option.
Re:Looked at rings today with my Girlfriend.
