It never really gets above 65C most of the time. With default I was getting around 75C with really graphically intensive games.
Re:GTX 570 Classified artifacting massively (James_L)

Yeah if it continues after that and you still start having artifact problems it could be cooling related or just a card that is going bad. If you aren't using Precision or Afterburner you might try that with a more aggressive fan profile. Other than that it's time to start calling support and see what they need for you to do in order to narrow down further the artifact problems. Could very well be VRAM or GPU issues finally showing up.
Re:GTX 570 Classified artifacting massively (dustyjo)

Thanks man. I've had the latest VBIOS installed for a few months now, actually. I'm pretty sure the PSU isn't the problem, since I haven't seen any voltage weirdness in Afterburner, and it has more than enough capacity for my card.

I'll try moving the card to a different slot soon, and see if that works.
Re:GTX 570 Classified artifacting massively (James_L)

You might want to take a look and see about the VBIOS on the card initially to ensure it's using the updated one. The thread for it can be found here. That might help a few things but at least you'd also eliminate the possibility of the card having an outdated VBIOS which may contribute to the issue at hand.

You may want to also take a look at your power supply and ensure the +12v rails are putting out consistent power for your card. If you are having power dropouts it may also contribute to the problem for the artifacts.

Those are the two things I would suggest doing to see if that helps correct the problem. You can also try using a different PCI-e slot to ensure it's not a motherboard related issue but I'd only look into that after the VBIOS and power first.

I'm sure others will contribute to this with decent suggestions.
GTX 570 Classified artifacting massively (dustyjo)

I've been having some major problems with this card lately. Basically, after my computer's been on for a while, I start getting large amounts of artifacts all over everything. First it's just youtube videos messing up, then text starts disappearing, until eventually it just turns into a huge mess where I can't tell what I'm doing at all. I ran OC Scanner during one of these fits and it found over eight million artifacts in just one minute. It seems to fix itself after restarting the computer, as I've had OC scanner running for over 10 minutes now and it's found 0 artifacts.

The card's getting enough power and everything, so I don't really know what to do. Any ideas? Or should I just RMA?
