(geswek)

I've been dipping and smoking for 17 years. A couple years ago I managed to quit for 36 weeks, until stress consumed me. What made me stop cold turkey was a hypnosis session I went to. I was VERY skeptical, but a friend did it who smoked 3 packs a day and he succeeded. I said what the heck, why not? I remember walking out of her office, not knowing what the heck just happened, throwing my pack of smokes in the trash can and going on. I gained about 50 lbs, ate more, realized my house/car smelled like an ash tray, worked more, took less breaks, until I boiled over. Then I went back to smoking and have been doing it since.

I use to tell my friends I had a code world that would make me rub my belly, pat my head, and jump up and down three times.
Re:Tomorrow...It's time for Chantix. (Chrome-M-Dragon)

Well, I thought I would update you all here, been 3 weeks since i've had a cigarette and have had no problems with the chantix at all. No dreams, no attitude changes, nothing. I don't even miss the hand to mouth movement. I'm sleeping better, breathing better (actually went running with my dog for longer than 5 minutes and could still somewhat breathe after 20) andmy god did I discover how much my car (piece of crap it is) smells like my dog! Ugh!. Horrible, I've been feebreezing the crap outta everything!

I know there are people outt here who have had or developed issues using chantix, but I've not noticed anything as of yet. Though I do have a friend who started at the same time I did on chantix and seen them smoking due to frustration and anger from a class we are in. I don't normally get angry, at all, but I told him to put it out. I was pretty stern, but I may have come across brash. Ehh, he knows it's for his own good.

So heres to staying smoke free!
Re:Tomorrow...It's time for Chantix. I'll take the first one around 9pm (starting with the night dose first since i'm usually up fairly late...) Also my dad quit using chantix in 3 weeks (still on the starter pack) and I noticed no mood swings or anything abnormal in him. Then of course he suffered a brain injury and don't even recall quitting... Anyway, I appreciate the support and offers for further support. (JoeZipp)

Chantix works I can testify to that. what I did was count out my smokes for the day. If I smoked 20 on monday I only gave myself 19 on tuesday, then 18 on wednesday and slowly reduced my intake. Got stuck at 15/day for awhile but then started decreasing intake again. Worked for me and I never went back. Good Luck... I know it sounds nasty but if you normally smoke when you go to the bathroom, it is hard to do when your trying to quit. I am currently trying to quit using the patch, which yes seems to suck, but I can't go to the bathroom unless I have a cig it seems. =/
Re:Tomorrow...It's time for Chantix. They are real affordable and give you that instant fix on the spot when you need it. Being able to smoke anywhere is awesome, and not having to waste breaks at work hoofin' it outside to puff is nice too.

Best of luck, I gained no weight switching to ecigs btw, If ur somewhat active dont think you will notice any, I lap swim and have my mtb on a trainer for xrsize

Re:Tomorrow...It's time for Chantix. I've quit all kinds of other things and have stayed off like alcohol, drugs, soda/candy, salt etc... Buy cigs I lose everytime. I actually enjoy smoking, that's probably why and I smoke maybe a lack a day, not even. Anyway, I gave up and went the other way and now RYO/MYO. So I only spend 48.00/month for me and my girl to smoke.

Re:Tomorrow...It's time for Chantix.
