The 650 G2 I evaluated today registered excellent overall performance and was dead-silent under normal conditions. The fan kept its noise output at acceptable levels even when I pushed the unit hard, and I had to apply the full load at a very high ambient (47C) to make it spin at full speed.

This unit does nearly everything right. Cable lengths are fantastic, we have a switchable semi-fanless mode without any confusing labeling on the switch, the fan stays off for a good long time, we had lots of goodies in the box, the manual's decent, the unit is fully modular with a cable bag to stow the extra cables in... it's all terrific.
