Coretemp Question

On the core temp program right above your core temperatures what does the slot Power monitor? Is that monitoring the amount of power going through your cpu? It normally sits at 72watts but I have seen it jump to as high as 2092watts. ?

Sounds like maybe you need to update to a newer version of Core Temp. But, generally, yes - that's the amount of power it is calculating your CPU is using (it's not an exact science, which is why the program gets updated frequently - especially with new CPU versions). It's a pretty close estimate, IIRC.

Wow it was telling me that 2092 watts were circulating through my processor then. That kind of worries me. And I think I have the latest version of Core Temp but will check now to be sure. I am using Version 1.0RC3

Might be a bug but it is not 2000W. If it was.. everything would be dead.
