Indeed after some various reads, suggestions & tweaks i finally managed to get BF3 playable. I had to lower the settings to medium and another thing i noticed was my mouse pad was causing me the grief aswell(old school gel & cloth pad) so i switched over to my TF2 mouse pad and things are much nicer now. :)

Now that I noticed it >.< That is a very interesting read. Side note how about you guys do this? On these servers when there is little to no one in the server the map size should be small then move up from there. That is how some of the most successful servers do it. So you are not getting 100% raped by vehicles when trying to get a server going. Because let me give you a little insight on what I just went through on our freaking servers. 3 on 6 Wake Island... Everyone on the other side is in a jet or tank and guess what ended up happening? http://battlelog.battlefi.../28606422/1/247621833/ We had people in the server till the freaking base rape started.

I, for one, was disappointed by the new requirement. I’m a customer of EVGA products, but I’m sure I’m not in the target demographic, (too old.) I don’t have a lot of time to devote to gaming, (maybe a half-hour a night if I’m lucky.) The possibility of winning an Extreme processor is incentive enough for me to check the EVGA servers to try to find one that’s not completely empty or completely full. Now that that no longer a realistic option, I’ll end up not participating at all. Perhaps instead of creating tiers of prizes, they could reward players with longer times, with more chances to win, (like one extra chance for each half hour.) That we, older players like me wouldn’t be excluded from a meaningful reward, while still encouraging, (and rewarding), players with more time to devote to the contest.

The event runs for 14 days... Play 4 nights for 30 mins and there's your qualification time. I personally think it should be more than two hours for top tier. I see way to often people join the server for 15 seconds and then win an $800 prize and it will be somebody nobody has seen or will likely see again until the next event for some free stuff. The idea is to draw people to the servers and hope they will continue to stick around and play with us. I believe these minor requirements will help new gamers stick around our servers. My two cents.

This idea would give me more of a chance to win something since I'm usually ALWAYS in the server for these events to make sure people are abiding by the rules and what not.

fletchj Play 4 nights for 30 mins and there's your qualification time. If only it was playing for a half hour. It more like: Boot the computer Fire up the game Wait for yet another steam update. Connect to a server Get kicked because the server is actually full, (despite what the browser says) Connect to another server. This time it’s empty Try another server with someone on it, wait to see if enough people join to start a game. Times up. Log off Now, I’m sure that if I had 2 hours to spend, I'd get some playing time in. If what you’re trying to do, is narrow the number of contestants, (and participants), then I agree, this should do the trick. If you’re just trying to reward frequent players, without disenfranchising others, I think my idea would be a better solution.

Yea the tier prizes is a great idea just next go around I think the times should be a little more stretched. I agree with this, 2 hours is barely anything specially within 2 weeks of time. There should be no complaints about a measling 2 hours required game play from the 336 hours during the gaming event. Its a great idea! It limits the potential spam gamers to log in for 1 min and log out and be qualified to win something with zero effort, its an event to get gamers to come onto the servers and play, not to earn freebies by not playing. As stated I think it should be increased to make it even more competitive. Up the tiers to 4-7 hours, which is still technically nothing to the 336 hours available to play.

Why not just remove the "Just join"? Maybe change it to at least 1hr or 2hrs? This should at least remove the loggers who just login to qualify for the prize. 8hrs is overkill IMO. BTW, in order to qualify for the event, one must be an EVGA customer right? So does that mean only people who have a registered product can qualify? Or does it also count anyone with an EVGA account? (If it is the latter, then it's not worth it)

16forever Why not just remove the "Just join"? Maybe change it to at least 1hr or 2hrs? This should at least remove the loggers who just login to qualify for the prize. 8hrs is overkill IMO. BTW, in order to qualify for the event, one must be an EVGA customer right? So does that mean only people who have a registered product can qualify? Or does it also count anyone with an EVGA account? (If it is the latter, then it's not worth it) 8 hours is just loose change in two weeks.
