evga motherboard question

can the evga 1156 socket motherboards overclock my i5 650 cpu? i need a new motherboard and it has to be one that has a bios overclocking because my cpu cant be overclocked through software. i have a dell computer so it has a crappy motherboard and cant be overclocked witch is slowing my gpu a little
thermaltake 430 watts
gtx 550 ti super-clocked 1 gigabyte ram
1st gen core i5 650 3.2 GHz
8 gigabytes 1333 MHz ram

    Yes, they can OC perfectly. You will need to enter the BIOS to do that.
     
    On boot, you'd press DEL, and it will take you to the BIOS, where you can adjust voltages, clocks, monitor temps, etc.

      great thanks i have an dual core amd on another computer that i overclocked to 4.1 GHz

        I use a similar set-up to what you are inquiring about and it both functions and OC's very well. You would be best suited in avoiding the P55V, as it provides no BIOS options for overclocking and is a base model. The P55 Micro, SLI, FTW, FTW200, and Classies are the better boards for overclocking.

          im not at the my other computer right now so i dont know the chipset but the socket is LGA 1156 and since i only want it to oc my cpu i want to get it as cheap as possible i saw the h55 at circuit city for $86
